It probably seemed faster because it was a house full of roommates playing on one profile, but still. Hopefully GTA V will allow you to generate money fairly quickly so you can enjoy some of the car customization early on.

GTA V will have stocks and other interesting ways to earn money. I persume Michael already has a lot of money judging by his lifestyle.

I actually hope money is HARD to come by so we really have to work to earn everything we want in the game. I am in no hurry at all and want to appreciate the money I earn.

Ditto. It just adds another dimension of fun and discovery to the game, albeit small, but still fun.

SPEEDOMETER Please!

I can only agree. A speedometer would surely be a very nice feature to add.

The only reason why I got SA for PC even though I had it on PS2.
As funny as it is, I just played SA on my computer yesterday, after a very long break . -Though, I still can't figure out the camera controls for touchpad :boggled:...

Even if it does generate money a decent pace, don't expect anything to be as cheap as San Andreas.

I believe someone on another forum pointed out that $120K was needed for the most expensive safehouse in the Vinewood hills in San Andreas. Or that the biggest property you could buy to make money in Vice City was $100K for the night club.

However, in GTA V, $250K is the asking price for an apartment. It's nothing definitive, but it appears Rockstar has taken a more realistic approach to the value of properties than before.

Definitely looking forward to the latest GTA installment, but I'm curbing my expectations. If the customization options are anywhere approaching Saints Row 2, I'll be more than happy. If they're on par with the Midnight Club franchise, I'll be over the moon, but you'll forgive me if I don't hold my breath in anticipation. We've yet to see that level of car customization in a game that's not strictly a car / racing title, so I'm waiting to see how much they've invested into the customization.

I'll be picking this up, either way, but detailed customization would be icing on the cake for me. :)

These guys can say what they want. This is why I am not going to throw all my eggs in one basket. That is a big claim they are making on how it would be just like MCLA. You also have to consider the amount of cars too. MCLA has a small car collection while GTA5 has WAY more.

If they can really pull it off then my hats off to them. If not it will still be an awesome game anyways. I am wishing that they have a good livery editor like in MCLA. Without Forza's storefront it would be on par or in many ways better than Forza. That is going to make the biggest difference. GT fanboys do not understand how much a livery editor is important and nice to have.

Actually, I like that 👍.

Yeah that would be nice. I think Crackdown is one of the only few sandbox games with a speedometer. Or did Just Cause 2 have one also? Or The Godfather?

Mafia I and II had speedos.

Looks like certain cars can have whitewall tyres. I'd love to add them to any vehicle and then its up to the player to decide if it looks good or not.
