[This is not my work, I seen this thread over at the GTX forum and thought it would be fun to post here. Credit to NoQuarter for this entire posst ]
Yes, my sincere apologies to NoQuarter for this post, I had seen his post at another forum and I honestly forgot to put his name in for full credit on this post.
Tell us about your B-Spec driver.

Have you named him/her? If so, why the name you have given your driver?

Do you work on his/her skills, actively trying to improve his/her performance or throw him/her into some overpowered monsterand "push" the driver to win at the cost of his/her sanity and nerves?

How is your driver doing? Are they getting any better? Do they make the same mistakes, depending on their instructions?

Lets see what replys we get here...

My B-Spec Driver's name is SCPH-30001, named after my PS2 model #. I thought it would be appropriate since he's AI and all, and it's driving for me.

He's more like a slave racing robot. Not that I abuse him or anything, but at the moment, his main purpose is to do the 900k money trick in the German Touring cup. Once I unlock endurance races he will assist me for the shorter races or race for me in the insanely longer ones. Since he's a robot, he never gets tired, never needs to eat, and can do it all day. He DOES require electricity and everything though, and plus proper cooling during longer races.

At the moment he's not doing too bad. I actually don't know if he's better than I am...I should probably check that out =) maybe I can learn a thing or two from him

That's about it.

My co-driver is called Steve (McQueen). I use him for a lot of the longer races (endurance, 1000 mile european, f1 etc) for two reasons. Firstly I've been busy lately with uni and secondly because I has to do all the pointlessly long races in GT3 and don't see the point of doing them again :)

Steve started off being pretty poor (no surprise there), but now that I've used him quite a lot with a lot of different cars and a lot of different tracks he's improved hugely. Sometimes he still shows off his n00bishness. He likes to run into walls at Monaco, he slows down to 30-40mph on the long straight at Le Mans 2 in the F1 car and for whatever reason he never uses the full potential of the car on the long straight at the nordschleife.

I can't remember his points or skill levels, but I'd guess around about 7500 points and about 75 for each of the skill levels.

That's her on the left.

Mine looks like Tila Nguyen...jealous?

Not really though, his name is Josh...and he's decent. He likes to slow down a lot and run into walls on the one New York straight in the Minolta. Silly guy.

I use b spec for the 1000 miles races and so on...

Mine has no name at all, don't even know how you could give him an "in-game official name" lol

He seems to do some mistakes but usually when that happens i just lower the pace.. should go better usually and if it doesn't.. i put him as slow as possible...

QUESTION: Does someone know how you can put B-spec on, and once the car goes to the pits that it goes back on speed X3, instead of going on at speed X1?

thanks

I call mine as " The Stig". he runs clean mostly when the tire's hasn't worn out, wins all races with ease and he can handle all cars except those friggin RR-cars.. the way how he drives high powered FRD cars makes me all hot and bothered. getting SL600 sideways on nurb! woot! 👍 not to mention that he has tamed Speed 12......... :scared:

Shafted
Mine's called 'The Stig' also, if you're English you'll know why :)

well, I'm big fan of Top Gear, the show is just great.. 👍 and no, I'm not from England.. I'm from the country of great rally/race drivers.. Finland. :dopey:

What's this German Touring Cup trick? :)

oh yes we do, atleast I do. Jeremy Clarckson (sp) is great.. especially when he did test MG X-Power SV.. it was friggin hilarious..

I call my b-spec driver Colin. When he does fine I'm happy. When he doesn't do fine (like crashing the walls on mulsanne straight, and so on) I start to swear like no man on Earth ever before. But then I feel sorry for yelling at Colin and I apologize. I think B-spec is just great!

Despite occasional signs of adequacy and 7200 points my B-spec driver is a disgrace to driving. Most of the time she looks like she's being towed, slowly on a very long piece of rope.

My B-Spec driver is Bob, he has around 7000 points on his license and 500 Miles, last night he won El Captain Endurance while I had a bath.
He is noe driving my Audi Le Mans Quattero in the Nurb 4hr endurance.

mine is called jenson (jenson button, GB) he is a very good reliable driver, i use him a lot on the tracks i dont like to drive, tokyo, laguna etc.
nearly 7000 points.

Mine does not have a name, he just a my best friend right now, so I call him Mate :)

He's managed to earn me a great deal of money when it comes to re doing races that I only want the cash/car from. He has a great time doing new sections for me to, as long as you qualify for him all I do is stick him on level two from first on the grid and he wins every time tyres still looking like they could go another 10 laps! He's just won the British GT championship for me in that way, what a guy. Still nice to know I'm faster than him ;)

Mine is called DC. Like the real one he consistant with his times, and easy on his tyres, but he needs a wee prod to get past people.

We teamed up and did the 'ring 4 hour race last night in a nearly stock BMW M3 CSL. He started the race as I was having my dinner. I put him on 4 and overtake then put him down to 2 once he got the lead. I took over after his first stint and was lapping quicker, but I was making more mistakes than he was. I put him back in the car for naother stint later on and he drove that well too.

is there a way to name him?
how do you name him?
In your head.... :dopey:

My B-Specker is Ed. He is still in Drivers Ed. Poor Guy, needs my advice all the time. In New York I have to tell him to slow down or he will hit the wall every lap. It's sad, but he is learning. He loves my McLaren SLR and has tried most of my vehicles. My better half thinks that I spend a little too much time with Ed. She wonders why I switch to talking to Ed on commercials of Will and Grace and Scrubs. All in all, my favorite B-Specker, Ed, has been a great pal, and I can't wait to see how high his skill level can go. Go Ed! Go!
