I named mine "Tiff Needell" from Fifth Gear becuase my computer can do everything good, and can learn tracks I never used it on in one lap. I have around 4,800 B-spec points and Needles goes from the Fiat 500R to the Mercedes F1-color F1 car without any crashing or adapting to one certain car. This is my driver's bio (Strange enough, some of this happened to my AI):

Known as: Needles
Fastest he's ever driven: 230mph on the Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans (happened)
Biggest crash: 230mph on the Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans (happened)
Currently drives: BMW 545i (on game, my cruise car is a dark green 330i and a dark blue ///M5)
Dream car: McLaren F1, or 1960's Lotus Elan (same for me on GT4)
When he's not on GT4 he's: sleeping for the next 24 hour race :)

Here is my driver w/o the helmet:

my b-spec driver is a freak. he likes to go off course and he likes to fly at top speed right into the back of the car in front. then slow down and try to pass. he avoids passing during the long straight of la sarthe

I've given my b-spec driver lots of enduro training....including 3 sets of 24 hour enduros in a row

I've also named my co-driver "Tiff" and he's actually pretty good across the board.. Except for one thing I've found. Doing the Le Mans II 24h and Tiff REFUSES to go above 330 km/h even though the car easily does 400.. :grumpy: Other than that, I'm fairly happy with him.. :)

Cheers!

My B spec driver drove for ten miles in a family cup, then I dragged him into the pits and shot him. I think his name was Ted or Tom or something like that. Anyways, he's never driving one of my cars ever again.

Obviously. He's dead.

Well my B spec dude is named Kowalski. Why? If I have to explain then you need more culture. :sly:

Let's just say between his affinity for driving in the dirt (without actually spinning and losing it) and not seeing objects (cars) that he's racing up on at top speed it sometimes seems like he's on speed.

But he still manages to win! 👍

I dont have just one bspecker. I like to use the name of the car that is driving itself. For instance, lil mazda rxy is doing just fine. I really thought he might have trouble the first time out but he is just tooting along. Mr Volks R32 is a fagg. He sux. He makes me drive him most of the time. And sux in low rpms. Other than that im poor. and so are my bspeckers.

My B-specs driver is my daughter! She is 9 month old and she is awsome ! I have two memory cards because she is playing too but just only B-specs YET!

I have appropriateley named my B-Spec driver Rummy McDrinksalot. I don't attempt to improve his skills because he is an idiot, I don't waste my time with the drunk. He occasionally "crashes" into walls so he can take a sip of his 40. :dopey:

Tell us about your B-Spec driver.

Have you named him/her? If so, why the name you have given your driver?

I've dubbed him, HAL.

If you're familiar with the movie, 2001 A Space Odyssey, you will know why I have named him as I have.

I've recorded a few samples of HAL and his responses to my commands on the track. He can be a real pain in the ass sometimes and he always call's me Dave for some odd reason. :grumpy:
http://www.palantir.net/2001/sounds.html

My personal favorite was this little gem.
HAL replying to me on why he didn't win the race.
--"Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill and think things over."

Or this beauty: --"Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before and it has always been due to human error."

FU HAL, you son of a...

Do you work on his/her skills, actively trying to improve his/her performance or throw him/her into some overpowered monster and "push" the driver to win at the cost of his/her sanity and nerves?

Yes, I do actively try to improve HAL's skills by using him on as many different tracks as possible with as many different types of cars. It's been a slow process.

How is your driver doing? Are they getting any better? Do they make the same mistakes, depending on their instructions?

HAL is doing OK at the moment. He still has difficulties winning races when behind the wheel of a clearly, superiour car, versus a lackluster opponent.
But at this moment, he can keep the car on the track for almost all of the race.
HAL does make the same mistakes if I'm not actively watching him and making decisions for him. It's rather frustrating to have to watch him constantly when he's in a race that I wanted to avoid. What's the point?

My "mate" Mr B is currently working hard eight laps ahead on the Nerburgring his way to get me my A, 1.2 million (UK) and B, the Polyphony Formula Gran Turismo ('04)

Or this for those that don't know ;)

Click me for picture glory!

Whatever! You aren't getting the black and silver! LOL. I got the blue/white and orange one then the blue/white again :ouch: . Good luck though. I recall very few people getting the black/silv car from what I've read.

Btw, my b-spec driver is a girl, and bizzo was her name-o. :yuck:

All of you freaks naming the b-specker you believe to be a guy after an actual race driver.... Unless you can beat said driver around a track, what sense does that make? It's just plain dumb to insult an actual driver with comparisons to that dumb mofo that's behind the B wheel. :dunce:

Wow. Way to take things a bit to seriously there, buddy.

As my B-Spec driver tells me, "I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill and think things over."
Listen to HAL their, guy. :sly:

My B-Spec driver goes by the name Grendlehammer. Why deem him with such a hideous name you ask? Because he sucks out loud, thats why. He hit a wall, with the pace set on steady, going in a straight line on the Nurb. The short little straight that is so tameable, even Peggy Hill could do it in a sports car, and Grendlehammer Fugged it up!. Well, I don't want my personal problems to reflect into your personal lives, so lets just say 'ole Grendlehammer aint the best racin' car pilot in the world.

Roger that. Wasn't really taking it seriously, although during the re-read, I can see it coming off that way. Usually I call people "freaks" in jest, but I do retract the statement about it being "dumb". Still makes no sense to me why someone would name the AI after someone that can actually drive, but point taken.

Do I need to edit out the "dumb" comment for "silly" or something more appropriate to what I really meant?

A few of you should treat your B-Spec driver better. :(

Yeah... So anyway, I turned on the "turbo" forward and backwards code on just for the hell of it on Nurb... He freaked out everytime I'd press the turbo and become spaztic trying to get back on the track going the right way. At one point the car was "hovering" thru a bunch of turns. 💡 ****! I should put him in a model T and trying it so I can see what his facial expressings look like then!! ha ha... Teach him to drive right!

umm my b spec driver's name is Tina Named after my almost girl friend umm shes freakin awesome ecept of that hole running into the wall at new york in the Ford GT her skill is like 6700

My B-Spec driver is ruining my ratio as we speak....

It just got done placing 5TH in an endurance race which I finished in a-spec.... GRRRR shouldn't have cleared it.

I guess I will call my B-SPEC "**** and Fag" because as I am writing this now, I am using the B-SPEC for the first time on the 24hr Nurbergring and she is Kicking serious arse !! Once I do a victory lap I will sit down and drink a cocktail (****) and smoke a cig (fag) in celebration to her!!

I don't like my B-spec driver because he is not qualified for rallies.

I make fun of him everytime he starts a race because of this.

I'll try not to lose to much sleep over the color ;)

F1 is F1 👍

He's kicking bottom now! 18 hours 45 mins in and he's pitting every three laps set on one, overtake, he done over 160 laps!!! 14 laps ahead of 2nd, 18 laps ahead of 3rd, 19 laps ahead of 4th, 20 laps ahead of 5th and a whopping 28 laps ahead of 6th!

He's using the Motul Pit work Z from the Japanese GT cup, lapping a quickest 6.27 average 7.10 not bad for a brainless automaton! :sly:

My B-Spec driver is called Brad, first name that came into my head I guess, but it also sounds like 'Bad' which is what he is. He has about 7,000 B-Spec points and he still rear ends everyone before taking them. :yuck:

So you don't call him Brad because he loves to Pit? Sorry, just joking...

sorry for the very stupid question BUT how do you name your B-Spec driver????
i searched everywhere but didn´t find it! my driver is at 5200 pts. and not bad(just at some difficult corners after fast straits or sth) and i´m doing the "1000 Miles!" championship(last race) AND THIS SUCKY DRIVER ALWAYS GETS OUT AT THE PORSCHE CURVES!!! He drives at speed 3 but still makes this sucky mistake at that place! :(
and he DOESN´T GET ANY B-SPEC POINTS, WHY?

...but he´s still leading, so godd job til now!

and another question:
does your driver lap other cars in a enduro(for example when you are FIRST and there´s the 6th car in front of you)??? Or do I have to tell him that?
sorry for that quests but i just wanna know! :)
