So, tell us about YOUR B-Spec driver...

I call mine B-Spec Charlie (5898,71,62,51). My roommate calls hime Captain B-Spec. His guy is better than mine, but I can't recall his stats. Mine pisses me off because he is absolutely horrible at overtaking and driving vintage cars. He cannot keep vintage cars on the track. He insists on raping opponents in the ass when overtaking, especially on starts. All the AI has to do to defend a overtake attempt is slow down, B-Spec Charlie dutifully slams on brakes and lets the opponent accelerate for a second or so before getting back on the gas himself. Better yet, he seems to never use full throttle! What a dolt.

I actually take my B-Spec driver for hot laps around new circuits so that he can learn to drive them. In a few circuits, like Nurburgring, Midfield and Tokyo R246 he can drive at a 5 Pace setting and not crash or get off the track. On most tracks he must use a 3 or 4 setting. For learning a new track I have him do a lap on 3 setting, then up it to 4 setting, if he makes no mistakes I up it to a 5 setting and let him do like two or three laps. I usually do that on an easy car to handle, then bring him back in on a hard car to handle. After this training section he can pretty much race it anytime on a 4 setting, some times 5 setting. To train for passing people I take him to a family cup with the easy setting on -3 or -4, so that he has plenty of chnace for passing. That does it for him. He is driving good and already has over 500 miles on his belt, versus my 5000+ miles.

At first i called my B-Specer "Rocco"..

He loves slappin the other b!@tch's around, rammin' them in the @$$ every chance he gets and going hard all the way, kicks them into the curb, and then moves on to the next hohoho he wants to analiate and dominate. If they get annoyed and don't like his driving, then he'll go in even harder and use full force, making them all scream in pain.. because that's what he thrives on!

He's abit of a crazy, sadistic son of a b!t@h!!!

"Go Hard or Go Home" is his moto.

Then I started calling her "Teagan"..

A talented little thing. Most of the time she'd run around the track gracefully, like a ballarina, with beautiful moves that leave other drivers, and myself, in awe and a great view of her assssets as she leads the way and takes control. I guess you can't help but follow that azzz around. She seems innocent and doesn't look like she posses a threat, but man, can she give it.. and take it all the way to the rim! She can keep the pace up throughout, building to an amazingly inspiring climax. Even from behind, she'll start to go hard at the right time, cumming on strong, and taking it all the way to the top position!

An inspiration, I tell ya. She's graceful, yet knows when to roughen things up and go hard. God, I love watching Teagan do her thing!..

Now I call her "Jenna"..

She's a Pro.. she makes her way to the top with ease. Takes full control and is flawless from one vid.. sorry, race to the next. Sometimes the newer models like to give her a bit of a hard time, but she quickly shows them who's boss and lets them all know how it's done!

She's the consumate professional everybody wants to have.

I can't say she's Jenna all the time, though.. sometimes she's Teagan.. sometimes Rocco.

But, if there was a choice, I'd wish for Teagan. Beautiful to watch. She's young and an "up and cumming" talent. Gifted, she can be my co-pilot and take hold of the stick anytime!..

Jenna is the Queen.. I can always rely on Jenna to cumm through for me.

Rocco sucks!.. well, not really. Tell me, who doesn't want to be "Rocco"? Everybody wants to be Rocco.. Rocco never dies!!

Just depends on the mood I'm in, really.. :sly:

Hmm those names Jenna and Rocco seem to ring a bell with me....
And the inuendos....
It's darn obvious this guy wishes his last name was Jameson....
hehe

My B-Spec man: "Fartman" cause he farts in tight corners.
He's currently 8365, 98, 83, 81 and pretty good (wins almost everything), but he doesn't hav a chance at the 206 Peugeot cup so I had to a-spec it.
It seems he doesn't improve no matter what I try, maybe a couple of points from a hard race, but no improvement in skills.

does anyone know if the skill points max out anywhen? my bspec certainly isnt perfect yet, and for some reason, every time i let it out on the test course, about 1/3 into a corner it will suddenly swerve left then sharp right and totally wipe out

Personally, I dont really use B-Spec mode but its a good thing anyway. I only use it on too easy races which I will be sleeping on my controller cause its too easy.

My B-Spec dont really drive bad, just need to put it at the good speed. I use 5 and Overtake to get the 1st pole, after this I remove the Overtake and put it at 2 or 3, depends of the track.

B-Spec is a good thing, but its not really me... I prefer to drive by myself, THATS MY CAR ! lol

If my b-spec driver "vincent" is blowing the competition away i will run him on speed 1, to make the tires last longer. will his skill improve more if i make him run faster?

nope!!!

I have decided to call mine Spuds Mackenzie. He's smooth, cool, gets the ladies, but when the job is finally done he's too drunk and disorented to realize if he scored any points or not. Plus he's under investigation for public urination.

My B-Spec driver really makes me mad almost everyday. Going off the track and spinning on level 3 :( I do not understand it. Before I started the LeMans 24 hour race last night he had accumulated over 12,000 miles of experience. There is about 10 hours left in the race so by the end of it I would imagine him having over 15,000 miles....

My guy is Perkele. Sometimes he makes me to smash the DS2 controller against a wall.. Does this Perkele know when to pit in if I leave it running the endurance while Im gone?

I've named mine Speciola. He's a workhorse: doing all the races that take hours and hours because I have things like a job and a social life.

My B-spec driver is called Rover. Like a rover car hes slow handles badly and cant brake for corners. Like Rover the dog hes always loyal no matter how much i shout, curse and namecall. Also like Rover the Dog he likes to ****e in the same corner (every lap) and is attracted to the posts which hold up the crash barriers! Ive only just started to B-Spec so i hope Rover gets trained. So far only 2909 points.

My B-spec driver's name is Billy. Billy is a good driver sometimes. he usually subs for for in races I don't feel like doing. Sometimes he gets pissed at me and just will not win a race so I have race it myself. But he is pretty good whens he feels like.

I just wonder how many others "got it"?

You gota look up Teagan Presley :D
A real pleasure to watch.. hahaha

Sometimes I wish I was a Mormon, and have both Jameson and Presley as my last names :D

my b spec driver is pretty good, only does the endurance races, leave him on 4 with overtake on, does pretty well apart from having a nasty habit of doing pirouettes in the gravel at degna1 and spoon on suzuka circuit :/

Fallen0ne
He is really good.
I completed 100% of the game so I decided to train my B-spec driver.
B-spec points: 9169 (100/99/74)
I suppose that you are the same 'FallenOne' that started up that long thread on B-Spec at GameFaqs. I'm sure you've read through it and have seen where someone developed the technique to get to 10,000 B-Spec Points (100/100/100) in about 267 races.

This is a very interesting approach and I fully intend to try to implement it once I get further along in my game, or start off with it in some future new game. There is a lot more to B-Spec than most of the "I do everything on A-Spec" purists on this forum realize.

The guy who posted the translation, itazura_da, mentions the Nissan Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car '02 as the fourth car in the cycle. I don't think that I have seen this identical car in my NTSC U/C version of the game. Do you know what this particular car is called in the U.S. Version of GT4?

i haven't named my driver but he's pretty decent all things considered. Not half as good as me though. I'll probably lose some time when i play the enduros with him but he has driven my speed 12 pretty good( some slips at nurb though)

That nissan fairlady is in the non japanese version, being in the UK i am assuming i have the US version if there are only 2 and i won that nissan fairlady in one of the Professional Hall races. cant remember which, tis an awesome car, very good handlign and you can pump it up to about 900HP. Very usefull for setting it off on endurance races with R3 tyres coz its a guaranteed win on B-spec when u need money and dont have the time to sit there for hrs.

...

I couldn't agree more... 👍 And it isn't just with this aspect of it. For the a-spec purist who hasn't approached b-spec, it is a little bit like trying to describe what pizza tastes like before you ever really eat pizza.

My B-Spec guy,

I didn't give him a name yet, but he's a funny guy.

sometimes when he drives on the le mans track without the chicanes, he slams his car into a wall on the long straith, just to scare me.

He also just parks his car into the wall of the second straith on the new york circuit to let the others pass him again, he's such a funny little caracter.

but he's still about 7 seconds slower on a lap of midfield with a BMW M3 so I probably need to train him a bit more (he's now on 8200 / 87-82-83)

My guy is named:Dude, wtf are you doing!
He's not too bad... going on 7000 points. With an ok car, he laps pretty good, albeit around 30 secs slower on the nurburging.
He never used to but I guess when I took that week off... he socialized with everyone else's B-Spec drivers. He all of a sudden loves the ass end of cars. Kike doing 180 in my Pescarola into the pack...He's cool though. :dunce:

[This is not my work, I seen this thread over at the GTX forum and thought it would be fun to post here. Credit to NoQuarter for this entire posst ]
Yes, my sincere apologies to NoQuarter for this post, I had seen his post at another forum and I honestly forgot to put his name in for full credit on this post.
Tell us about your B-Spec driver.

Have you named him/her? If so, why the name you have given your driver?

Do you work on his/her skills, actively trying to improve his/her performance or throw him/her into some overpowered monsterand "push" the driver to win at the cost of his/her sanity and nerves?

How is your driver doing? Are they getting any better? Do they make the same mistakes, depending on their instructions?

Lets see what replys we get here...

Jimy

My b-spec driver is awesome-he can out do me sometimes
