im quite tempted to make a SERIOUS thread about SOLVING the PROBLEMS that rld had pointed out. i have a short fuse, and right now, im a ticking time bomb, we really need to fix this, not ignore it and make jokes.
 
I'm not retuning 562 cars. SCREW THAT. If that happens, the I quit.
 
Dudes... Im flabbergasted that we are even considering this...

To start... really? No wings? Its not like you cant put one on your car? its not like you dont have the capability to do the SAME thing? Thats like staying you cant use an auto... or only stock rims... or no toe angle on RWD cars because its unrealistic. I mean.. come on guys... its not like you cant dont have 3k to spend on a wing... if it helps you... and everyone has access to it... then friggen do it. THATS THE POINT IS IT NOT???? I didnt want to put a wing on my cuda... because its ugly... but i did. BECAUSE IT MADE IT FASTER!! More down force = more speed... who would thought?

Next... SRF and aids being accepted? I dont even know how to express my displeasure with that.. The reason that all that stuff was... (and in my eyes...never will be) accepted is because its.... weak. Your using a computer to sort out things you use to have to do with gears and suspension. Go to your local drag strip and tell me... do you see ANYBODY running traction control? lol or better yet.. this "magical" traction SRF crap that DOSENT EVEN EXIST?

How bout... instead of completely blanking the leaderboards... Why dont you just ban the dumbarse who submitted fake times to be cute from ever submitting another time again? That would send a message.. would it not? Its never going to be perfect... Gt5 is and will always be a circuit racing game...but dont go 🤬 up something that works about as well as its ever going to.

The "unwritten rules" have been accepted by pretty much everybody since this all started... So why go changing it? Why make thousands re-tune for the benefit of a couple dozen? That dosent seem right in my book. I mean... your viper my be a 0.040 faster than mine.. cool... But the end of the day when your racing online...your connection... and the ghosts connection..and the rooms lag have more of an effect on your race than having a half a tenth faster of a car. Like RLD (lol by the way) said... until we get a tree... its pointless. Once you get to a certain point.. its all down to R/t and lag.

However...
I do like the idea about full throttle launch. I mean... that is a fair argument.... but its pretty unenforceable. A video is to much work just for a time for one car on a game... and as was stated earlier... someone could cry its to blurry or something else. How bout... average of 3 back to backish runs? As the ridiculously fast times are more than likely a 1 in 100... it would reward consistency and at the same time.. reward those ridiculous...i dont want to say lucky.. so we will call them "once-every-so-often" runs.

Look... I know sending in 6 pictures is a lot of work... but if you send in 3 of these

We could average the 3 times. And since the clock would have to be clearly viable... the runs would have to be within... o lets say...5 minutes of each other in order to be valid. I think that would make things a lot more... realistic... and a lot more fair.

Just my point of view... but what do you guys think? Because i really dont want to re-tune everything for SRF...

Exactly. So lets not change the way that we tune... lets change the way we submit our times to make it more even for everybody. I mean... if were going to blank the leader boards and make a bunch of work for the mods... lets change it to something that works.

In the pics I was using? Honestly... i just went into the times thread and found 2 pictures that showed what I was trying to say lol... i actually havent submitted any of my times...

thank you busa, see, someone found a method we can use, honestly though, why do we submit times? so we know whose .003 seconds faster than us? because .003 seconds is going to matter when you run them at indy right? if we are, i like your idea busa, i think if we work on it more then we can get a system worked out then. i do understand that having competion is fun, but i perfer indy to lay it all out. after some mw3 i have cooled off, possibly enough to be civil and not get myself banned.

now, i want to run through this whole system though, are we doing a straight full gas from the load launch or do we have to run multipul times?

Thats just it... a lot of people (including myself) have never submitted our times. I know Busarocket had some times that destroyed everything on the leader boards... but he's never submitted them. I know i havent because i dont really care to... and I cant speak for him.. but I have heard that people dont submit their times because they dont want people to tune off of them.. witch is true... people (including myself) judge our times based off others that are represented...but thats kind of the point of a leader board is it not? To see how you stack up?

So in essence.. the leader boards are kinda... i dont want to say pointless.. but kind of irreverent because they dont necessarily represent the best times... just the best of the times that have been submitted... Just some food for though.

Say what you gotta say man... I want to hear all of your opinions on what I purposed. Its not arguing if we are working towards a common goal. We can make this work... and this is one way that i think we can. Are you going to fight for a new... more honest way of submitting times... or do you just want to give up and quit playing all together? Your choice... i know im not going to re tune all my cars for srf because somebody went and :censored:ed things up for the rest of us....

by that person im thinkin you mean me Yes? And i didnt stuff anything i just made it clear that people can get fast times without effort while people like yourself spend hours tuning and i didnt think that was fair.

Just to set the record straight... im not raggin on you at all... just because you found the glitch in the matrix dosent make you Agent Smith. You showed the flaw in the system... and now we have to fix it is all.

How are we going to do that...? Well thats the million dollar question. lol

Edit: Ktt... im workin on a thread that will explain it all... give me a bit.

Edit 2: Half the reason i havent uploaded any of my times is because Im having a heck of a time getting my photos on to here. I emailed um to myself... they are on my computer... i just cant get them on to here. Its almost 5:30 tho... so imma crash. Ill get to it tomorrow.

Well i am going to keep useing my wings on cars that i use wings on and useing full gas launch.as long as ppl dont use any aids and dont cheat or guess launch all is fair:censored::grumpy:
 
So I must have missed something but what I get from this is that I told you guys forever ago that you can change your G's and use srf and d2 finally posts something everyone listens to him. Thanks I guess. Also I do hate srf because it is unreal and retuning would be a pain, but wouldn't that make racing soft act more like drag slicks that we have all wanted?
