Okay.. Thanks to D2 and ninja.. We gotta sort this 🤬 out..

FROM NOW ON
The written 'unwritten' rules of 1/4 mile are..
NO WINGS!!
FULL GAS LAUNCH!!

Don't know about you guys but I'm gonna go de-wing my cars and I guess begin retuning  seeing as my {CH} guy isn't online atm...

even full gas launch if you're lucky you can get same effect as launch "cheat" i say dont take any credibility to ssrx times.

I've been full launching past hour in my GTR to work out kinks and fastest I have so far is a 8.945..

Why don't you guys just say "anything goes"? Allow SRF, wings, that launch glitch thing, and everything you guys currently call "cheating." Then all times can be trusted. Therefore, no more arguing! It may seem like a radical idea, but I guarantee you'll all be much better off. After all, it is just a game.

Then we might as well run srf in all out indy drag lobbies. And also to your its just a game statement, people put their LIVES into tuning these things. Some put HOURS into a single car!

Hmmm your full of ideas tonight ey.. But the only problem with that is online SRF is always banned so need a new tune.. It might work but need the majority to be in agreement

And kt.. I've tried to get ptk in on them but he hates lag..

Oh, believe me, I'm not against spending too much time on video games. I just think it's kind of odd that you guys have all these regulations that no one seems to follow anyway. And then there are arguments about cheating. How about making it so it's physically impossible to cheat. Because if everyone uses SRF, than it's a level playing surface. 👍

Well all i know is i will not use srf unless its to prove a cheater wrong. I dont, never have, and never will and thats the last of it. If there is a time where drag lobbies all use srf then i will most likley quit.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your opinion on SRF, but why don't you like it? I'm just curious.

This SRF crap is going to drive this forum into the ground. How about we make it mandatory to submit a SRF run with the legit run to prove they're not using it. Or a video.

If it's not regulated then it means retuning for the legit guys and no work for the cheaters. I don't have many cars tuned, but I felt bad enough when the patch meant I had to retune a handful of cars... I can't imagine how I would feel having to create a new SRF on tune for a whole garage.

I like the video or srf on/off images idea... the least amount of work for the legit guys 👍

Because my whole drag career ive worked without it, and i see it as a cheat, that i will not use. I like the idea of having a srf submission also though, pretty smart.

one flaw to the on/off idea.. some cars bog udner srf.

do a video with the end of the run and you exiting and showing aids are off..

The only problem with a pic of the on/off is you can take a pic with srf off and then go turn it on. I like the video idea.

Well this is a real shame that two people have quite possibly ruined the credibility of the leadboards now :indiff: although one of them was trying to prove a point of how it's possible to de-tune a car and use SRF to get legit looking times, and the other was trying to use it to fool people in to beliving they were legit times.

If this means a leadboard wipe here at the other site and we have to start submiting new times, i'll follow the new rules, but it will sure suck for the admins / mods having to start from scratch again due to dishonest uploaders.

The trouble with trying to regulate and enforce the "Full Throttle" start rule is going to be tricky I belive, while it's perfectly possible and very easy to get consistant times pressing the throttle while the screen is black before the track loads, (it realy bugs me when people say the timer for the speed test is inconsistant because it just isn't) I feel it wont be long before people start to press the throttle as soon as the car loads, or as soon as the "3" count pops up, or at the "2" count etc.. they will still be full throttle launch's but they might and probably will get a faster time than if you press the throttle before the track loads. Then before you know it were back to people launching they way they do now or did to get a leadboard time by pressing the throttle between the "1" and "START".

(for anyone that doesn't understand this launch method of pressing the throttle between the 1 and start watch this video from Retro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17vhzw0S_DU

I think from now on when I upload my times I will include 3 times for the same car.

1: Retro's quick shift launch method (if it works on the car)

2: The ideal RPM launch in its normal launch gear (Like how its done in the video)

3: A full throttle launch pressing the accelerator while the screen is black before the track loads.

then some people need to get lives sorry kt but i think that stuff is rediculous

Why does it have to be wingless that like saying you cant use turbos either. If a wing makes it faster then put it on if you dont like to use a wing then dont.
