A true level playing field would be to allow all driving aids and launching tricks ect.
The leaderboards are (and have allways been) based on mainstream demand.
In my opinion , to begin with it was "elitist" , when SRF was not allowed.. (because it's not used online)
These Route X times are offline and are hardly compareable to online tuning & online drag racing.
If people are now in the favour of allowing SRF for offline timed runs , it will be the new standard for offline drag racing.
Nothing will change much , it will still be about tuning and competing for the bragging rights.
One more thing I thought of being slightly elitist was that times had to be timed at 1/4 mile.
I've now grown to like racing the 1/4 mile (offline) , but I still race on track and online in km/h.
I also do my max speed runs in km/h just because it is more accurate (in GT5).
