I think Lite looks better (less flashy), but I don't like the way Lite was compressing the first column of our boards (user names, titles, avatars, locations, etc.) and stretching out the right-side column on some posts.

So I'm on Default; even on a dial-up connection, I don't notice any difference in page loading speeds.
