I think everyone is misunderstanding the concept of Xmas, or maybe I am.

Shouldn't it be about giving and not taking?

Someone should start a 'what are you giving for Xmas?' thread. An no, I'm not doing it before someone suggests it.

Me, I'd be happy if everyone I loved stopped dying...that's all I'd like for Christmas.
 
I want an internet wifi radio with a usb port. I don't know much about them, though, so I'm learning at the moment.

Yeah it's a mouse... The Mighty Mouse scroll ball got dislocated and I can't fix it with my traditional methods this time, and really I'm fed up with it now.....
 
Nothing much. I have certain interests in older-based things; Not much newer.

  • A couple of Classical Music CD's
  • The New Coldplay Mylo Xyloto
  • Gran Turismo 1 (The only game from the Gran Turismo series that is currently absent from my collection)
  • G27 Wheel
  • Bluetooth
  • Some Hot Wheels to add to my wide variety
  • A few shirts
  • Maybe a new Bow for my Violin


These will probably keep me occupied. I hope. :lol:

Might have to borrow that idea. I never know what to buy for women.
For her birthday I just gave her a wad of cash and told her to buy some thing she wanted. I might do the same for Xmas, but it's not very thoughtful, is it?

Jewlery all was works. I always get ny mum and sister like a $50 necklace and earrings if its a set. It always makes them happy.

As for what I'm geting/gotten:
- G27
- new camera
- forza 4
- money
 
Since there isn't Black Friday or anything here, we can't get anything on sale before Christmas. So the family's settled on around NZ$200 to spend on the Boxing Day sales :D

Was out with my mom and sister at 2AM on Black Friday in the Annapolis mall. I went more for the people watching then the shopping. We stopped by the Bose store to laugh at the high prices and ended up walking out with $600(got one for herself) less than we had, so I guess the joke was on us. I almost asked how many innocent animals they had to sacrifice to get that kind of audio quality from something so small. After all, the only explanation is ritualistic animal sacrifice.

I was there when she bought it but I don't get it until Christmas.

YES!!!! I am also going to get Richard Burns Rally. Because I'm getting a Graphics card for my birthday. (which is exactly two weeks before Christmas)
 
Nothing. Cash is a little tight this year.

I don't mind, though. There's nothing I really want, except new socks. Most of the ones I have now have holes in them.

Ah, Strongbow and Stilton, the classic Christmas combo! I'm a bit of a cider fan and used to love Strongbow. Trouble is, once I bothered to read the side of a can and discovered that it had ingredients. Something along the lines of 'Water, alcohol, cider flavouring'. Put me right off.

OK, I give in. What's the last one? Looks like some kind of steampunk HD projector... :confused:

My god, are still making those. I can remember them from the old Littlewoods catalogues in the 80s. ZX Spectrum, Donkey Kong, My First Large Hadron Collider... what a wish list! :dopey:

It's a bulb for my projector. Although the one I have is fine if it goes without warning I'm stuffed.

The Strongbow is a small treat. I haven't had a cider since I last went to HK months ago and it's notoriously hard to find and expensive in CQ.
 
Yeah, but you have to wait for it.

BTW, as usual, I have absolutely no idea what I'm getting for Xmas...
 
I think my wife is getting me either an X-box with Forza 4 or a Nintendo DS with Pokemon.
