So who says PS2 cant handle the N ring?

Oh well too bad PD did not want to use what ever method was used to get it in.

Konami GT racer

I'm pretty sure N ring is in, 2 tracks, one normal, and a snow one..

Nice link, looks great. That steering looks like a dressed up GTFP.

I dunno - that looks alot like the full length job to me...

Someone already posted these pics and info. Looks pretty good. The new issue of PSM, which arrived today, has a small article on it. It said they will have a full story on this game in the next issue.

The article briefly states the game, Enthusia, will have real and fantasy courses. Licensed cars will number in the hundreds. The game is set to be released in Spring 2005.

Looks nice, but I'm still behind PD and GT4.

Could be good :)

Sega GT 2002/Online isn't as quite as good as Gran Turismo but makes a nice 'change'. You won't see me complaining about games with loadsa cars :D

No one said the PS2 couldn't just handle the full ring. They said the PS2 couldn't handle it in GT4 and remeber thoes are KY words, it can't be done at the level it would need to be done in GT4, not even LeMan's would make it in for the same reason and thats appeared on the PS1 let alone in PS2 games.

Do you have a link to that interview? Ive never heard that.

(I hate when I have to say "In interveiw I had with K.Y....), but...

In interview I had with K.Y. in September 2003., he stated that both Le Mans and Nurbergring Nordscleife (and we are talking Nordschlife here, not GP Nurbergring) are tracks that he love and admires, but they won't be in GT4.

Of course, there is always that slight PR issuse which says: don't beleive anything untill you see the final product.

As I can see from things they've done so far with GT4 in terms of drawing and graphic engine, I can say that now I'm not so convinced that Le Mans and Nurbergring Nord are impossible to code in GT4 engine. I can even predict that Le Mans would probably be in, together with Bugatti circuit or some other famous LM circuit, because in GT4 we can expect dozens (and I mean dozens) of LM cars, form the very begginigs of the race to the monsters of the present LM cars. Official Le Mans cars will be the Big Thing of GT4 and Le Mans circuit will probably be the Big Surprise.

And Nurbergring Nord could be one hell of the surprise too, together with Spa and Bathurst circuits, as I keep hearing that from time to time in past year and a half.

Those who look shall see.

That's true, I remember that interview. He said something like probably in GT5. However, Le Mans remains to be seen of course, if they can manage it one way or another, they probably will.

I can't imagine a more perfect event to add to the Endurance section than a Le Mans or Spa enduro - if some of these tracks actually made it in, I'd probably never stop playing GT4. Whether that happens, well, we all get to wait and see, but wouldn't it be nice...

In fact, WipeOut was a Psygnosys game and it has nothing to do with Konami, but nevermind.

I'm confused...?!

Psy did the game, sure. But its Konami who distributed and invested... Wipeout is owned by Konami. So its got everything to do with it.

Its like believing that EA games are made by EA... (challenge everything...?)

Though, as much as I absolutly love the Nordschliffe and Le Mans circuit, and would love to race round them, the only thing they'd really be good for is to just to time trial round them. Unless the AI are really as good as Poly say they are it would be pointless racing round them with only grids of 6 cars, if the AI are anything to go by in GT3. You really need big fields with these tracks to get the full potential out of them.

Agree! thats why online play is so important and may even replace the role of AI cars; Like if you wanna race someone do it online (if you have boradband), otherwise there are always AI cars.

too bad GT4 wont have a simple mode where the graphics and what not get simplified, but the field expands. like take away trees and make the grass just 1 big colour or something. make it look how virtuaracing looked for the genesis or something. that and i think a 3d mode would be sweet. make everything simple or no texture, but make everything outline in blue and red lines, as if you were looking at one of those 3d comics. then wear some 3d goggles and play GT4 in 3d.

Now let me get my thoughts together for this one.

Nobody said that the PS2 CANNOT handle the Nurburgring. I mean what? The XBOX can do Le Mans? The XBOX can do Nurburgring's long course with 43 cars? In the meanwhile, until GameCube has a legitimate, exclusive racing game, don't knock on the PS2 saying it can't do what hasn't been done already. Le Mans with WAY more than 8 cars. Hell, if PD could, they could have a road rally around the perimeter of Manhattan Island, or a rally race around the perimeter of Greenland. The PS2 can do it all. Just you wait! (carried out by security) PS2 can do the Nurburgring! They can do my anything! ANYTHING! (laughing crazy) (door slams)

Well of course, it's just a matter of what you intend to put up with. Some of the rally courses in WRC 2 Extreme are certainly as long as the Nurburgring. It's just that for now it seems that PD's approach to such a track may not be possible. But they may also just not care enough.
