How many DS3 users are on the list? I'm working my way to this and I guess the DS3 is an obstacle for me. I'm at 40/20/0 now :(

I'm using a DS3. You can do it! :)

Tips: read every guide you can find. Read everyone's advice. Do all the easy tests first even if you only bronze them at first and work your way through as many as you can, for example drafting tests come in more than once and after tackling some of the later harder ones the earlier ones seem much easier when you come back to them.

Watch every youtube video you can find and read everyones comments. Theres usually more than one way to pass a test and often the driving line can be improved on.

Everything else is perseverence and practise, practise, practise! 👍

The only thing left for me is the damn Schumacher S in the BMW 1 series. Ive got it down to 18.805 and you have to get it in 18.8 or less.... Iv probably done it 300 times. Everything else is gold.

Theres a knack to that and it's to go wider than the driving line suggests, that is go right over to the right, even putting two wheels on the grass and only then come across to tackle the right hander you can take it at full power if you line it up/time it right.

I've got 59 Golds and the 1 Silver in the Double Hairpin Indy Test. I'm using a Sony Dualshock 3 Controller so that's not too bad going right?

Any tips for the Double Hairpin Indy Test - I just can't seem to get the right steering angle into the corner - something a wheel would do considerably better.

Like the Shumacher S take the first corner wider than the driving line suggests i.e. go right over to the right before turning in left it helps to get a faster exit speed, cut the apexes of the next corners as tight as possible put two wheels on the grass if you have too, and finally if the car won't turn fast enough use the handbrake to help pull the rear end around.

Edit: as promised:

Add me to the 60 trophy list! Fought of the demons and finished that damned slalom getting gold by 0.011 seconds :sly:.

I gave up a few months ago.
I'm stuck with 59 gold + 1 silver : the slalom IB3 still resists.
My best time for it is 0'18,501 ! Yes, one millisecond too slow :guilty:

One day perhaps....

Why disappointed? Didn't you get a car for each Gold?

IB - Gold Honda S800 RSC Race Car '68 (S)

I did but you'd think you'd get something extra for getting every single one on gold.

I had 12 left. Been working on it this week. I have the Tokyo/NSX I'm still .032 away, and then the La Sarth Mulsanne/ISF I'm .112 away from that one. Just cant figure these two out to be any faster. I have a wheel but have been using DS3. I about had a heart attack last night when I had golded two test. I was exiting back to the menu and got the "GT" freeze screen. I let it sit for 5 minutes and restarted. To my surprise the tests had saved.

I seriously would have stabbed a baby... I would've lost it.

If it had not saved the disc would have most likely either been in the front yard, or in the trash. I'm sure my wife would have been more than understanding when I told her I had to go buy another. Um, I'm not sure were the disc is, maybe our son took it and hid it. Ya that's it. :)

did it once. restarted the game over and just did it again! takes a while and a controller you will want to smash, but other than that its just trying over and over

You need to use manual transmission to be able to shift every gear at maximum RPM for this licence test (IA-2)
If you increase the front brake bias the car will be easyer to handle/turn in at corner entry.
And finally , you know that piece of sand on the left before the corner.. It can be used to slow the car down significantly.

Got my final gold about two weeks ago (yes, it was the slalom)...or maybe a month. I had given up on ever trying to get it (even with a wheel). However, I had recently bought a new controller (HKS Racing Controller), and decided to just try it again. I finally managed to beat it. And no, I have no yearning to go back and do them all again; I'm a one-time license achiever :D lol

I golded and silvered just about every license first try and I've had solid golds on everything for at least 6 months now I don't remember exactly when I finished but I did.

Finally done it! Using a DS3 and auto transmission, it made me want to punch myself in the face a lot, wasn't worth it!!

Knocked out the Tokyo last night, and Finally golded the IA-2 La Sarthe Mulsanne/IS-F this morning. Freaked my cat out when I applauded myself. Had to save that replay, it was tough. I can finally say "I have all 60 license gold". That and $.99 will get me a cup of coffee at McDonalds. :)

That was by far and away the hardest for me, getting the fine control to feather the gas required using a DS3 was almost impossible. But I found a way to do it... accelerate through the cones until where the black X is on the ground, brake, and then accelerate through the remaining cones. Takes a bit of practise, but it works. Also don't hit the gas until just after the "1" appears in the countdown. Set AS to Strong, too.

The PSN outtage gave me the impetus to work on my licence golds and special events. Very satisfied now that they're done! I am a much better driver for it too. Now there's just the Vettel challenge and World Tour 8C TT to tackle...

Just got mine now. Had 58 golds by the time I was finished going through all of the tests, working on some of the silvers before moving on to the unfinished ones each time I started. Most of the time, and most of the golds, while quite well intoxicated.

If I had a means to post I picture I would gladly do so, but I don't.

I just can't believe you don't get anything for doing all of that. As I finished my last I-B test I fully expected to get two cars and a trophy, but all I got was a 60's Honda race car.

Kinda makes that trophy I recieved for turning on the custom soundtrack feel that much more indicative of my gaming and racing prowess. Oh well,PSN trophies are stupid anyway(as here proven once again) and my profile still says 60 golds so it's all good.
