We have hardware forums - why can't we have software forums? You can't really pos software under PC Gaming unless its gaming software can you? But, it doesn't really fall under hardware either.
Sounds like a good idea. I mean some people are posting there comp questions in the multimedia forum. I know some forums have a Helpdesk & OS forum, which helps people out with their computer problems.
Well, that's a specific instance, but it is about multimedia software so that's where I would think it would belong.
For stuff like ... Microsoft Office, or FTP applications and the like, I think GG has a good suggestion to convert the hardware forum to a general non-gaming computer forum.

I have a copy of Mandrake hanging around, I tried to install it had allot of trouble just figuring how to bloody get the GUI to start. Also the majority of my hardware wasnt supported. Although it would be nice if someone could explain some of the fundamentals of linux.
On another note, anyone heard of Lindows? its Linux based and is meant to be simmilar to windows and even suports some windows apps.
