I had great fun with SoF2, so if this is true and they keep they same formula as the old game this could be a great game.

It has been a while since we heard anything from Activision's Soldier of Fortune franchise, but that is all about to change. Making its first appearance since Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix back in 2002, SoF: Pay Back will also make its next-gen console debut. Whether Raven Soft will once again make limbs fly all over our screen was not revealed, so hopefully more will become clear in a few weeks time at E3. As it stands now, Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back is scheduled for a November release, but that is most likely to change (thanks Robert).

Now I just saw a video about Soldier of FOrtune payback and it looks like its just as gory which is a good thing. Blow off legs, arms, blow off their head, explode their entire body. Looks awesome!

I spent a couple summers playing SOF2 multi-player. I will own this game at first sight of it in stores.

You'll like the visuals, they actually aren't that bad for what seems like a "budget" game. I don't think they really put all that much thought into this game, it's sophistication isn't anything like RSV or COD4.

It seems like they lost what was special about SOF to begin with and this turned out to be more of "make one for the sake of the name". : shrugs : Surprised they continued it. If this is the way it's gonna be lets hope this is the last one.

With that said I've been playing this game for about 4 hrs none stop so far.

Gore + Great guns and sound > Bad overall game



ALX is awesome sounding but pretty worthless for killing someone.


edit: C boy, ya gotta get this game it's senseless violence and gratuitous gore just like II but better graphics and better ways of killing people.

Sadly, though... multiplayer just sucks balls hard.

Oh I did rent this over the weekend but just could not get into it. The first one was so much better. It was tolerable for a couple hours and a few levels but just got old quick. I did have fun blowing off legs, arms, and heads. Its just no where near as good as the very first one. The knife melee was absolutely terrible. Its a cheap rip off of COD4 and just didnt work like the very first SOF. In the first one you could leave knife marks on every part of the body. Omfg! I take it all back about Multiplayer! This was so fun! I mean yeah the melee is worthless and there are lag and bugs but COD4 has just as many. The Guns were what made it fun as well as me not sucking.

A while back I threw this on to play it on hard with auto aim on (not that auto aim does anything lol) and I was using the sniper rifle to shoot at various places on the enemy. Nads, neck, legs, arms, and etc. Funny ****!

This game is truelly terrible. Its impossible to aim accurately. Everything seems to explode stupidly and it takes about 4 hours to complete..... But its so much fun.
I'll probably get rid of it soon once im bored with blowing heads off.

Oh and did anyone have the same trouble as me when in one level you have to escort a prisoner, and he seems to want to commit suicide. He just runs off and hides in the middle of a gun fight!
