how about taking a C size model rocket engine and setting it off with no restraints or a rocket? Great fun that was... it nearly hit my brother's car though...

I did that....sort of. It had a firework attached to the top (don't rember the engine size though....sure it was a C or D though) and a stabilizing stick taped to the side so it goes straight. As it went out of the launch tube the stick snapped; it missed my friend's house by a few feet and blew up in the front lawn. His parents were real happy about that.

we didn't consider the stabilizing stick. We just taped a straw to it to use as a launch lug on the stick we launched our rockets off of. The thing started spinning all over the place.
