Some Help Please

Alright, so I decided I wanted to replay the GT series over again until a new one on PS4 comes out. Now usually I just get a car, power it up, win the races and deal with it but this time around I want to do it a different way. I want to play the way the real players do. No Assists or nothing. And I also want to learn tuning so I can be better prepared for a new GT. Can anyone give me some tips and advice on how to really enjoy the game and how to learn without assists and all? Plus tuning advice? I would appreciate it!

Read up on suspension ,drive trains, and understanding transmission and gear ratios. Some real life physics rules do work in the game.

I've done so and now I'm faster than I once was.
