Las night I did this Endurance race and it was very fun but, well...
On my first try I hop in my Motul Pitwork Z and by lap 6 I was 20 some seconds ahead of second place (RX-7 LM), so restart.
The second try, RE-AMEMIYA RX-7. Got stuck on 3rd place between an Opel Astra and M3 GTR Race Car, while some Supra JGTC made a blast ahead, 10 laps and restart...

Last time the M3 was behind the JGTC, so I decided to use it and try to win. I would race this time no matter if I lose.
Now, the Motul Z showed in the grid and I was :nervous: , because it's stronger than the Supra I raced before. After 3 laps I passed it and was just a shaking, wild and very very fun race until the finish... 1 lap ahead of it.

So, what's wrong with this AI?? If I was using the Motul or any other GT500, easy win on the M3. Using the M3, easy win on the JGTC's machines. WHY???

It's been a long time since I raced a close battle... and I want it again! :grumpy:

When i did this race i used the amuse s2000 gt1

it was a relativly close race but when i got going i pulled away but as my tyre usage isnt that good i was stuck racing in 4th for most of the race

Then with my last stop i went from hard on the front and super hard on the rear to mediums all round

i eventually got the lead back with 6 or so laps to go and it was close

(well to me anyway)

What you're talking about seems kind of odd....

A little unrelated, when I did the enduro I used the Motul Z and I beat the AI Motul Z by about 1 lap and 15 secs.

Finding a good close race is not an easy thing to do. The longer races are even more difficult.

The AI will never race as fast as you can for many reasons - their braking points and cornering speed are far from optimum, they have difficulty overtaking, they are too timid on cold tyres and run their tyres one lap too far, they make slower pitstops, they do not reach their car's top speed and I have probably missed quite a few.

For good exciting races see the Club 200 thread in my sig - it has many examples that will provide challenges from easy to insane.

yeah it was actually pretty easy i used the xanavi nismo GTR and tore them up. After i took a few hits i pulled a few hits of my own.... needless to say the castrol supra was well, to say, laggin behind......

I have done the race, using the BMW GTR, and won with a very large margin, all because the second place car (methinks it was the RX-7 LM?) pitted on the last lap...

While doing the race, i found that my closest rival was the RX-7. It took a lot of work to keep it behind me when the RX-7 had warmed up its tyres. However i had to conserve my tyres as well so i was kinda...in a pickle. I had to get fast enough to keep the car behind me, but not so fast as to wear the tyres away.

It was a good race though.

Next time, just do a preview for the first 20 laps and see how the competitions does. And base your car selection on that to get a close race.

So, this race can be won with a GT300 car or some low powered race car, like Spoon S2000??
Besides the long straight, the many corners are kind of long... so a car that corners well should have a chance. I wan't to race here again this weekend :)

Well, i'm not sure how good the GT300 cars will do in Enduros, but i tried to win with the (stock) Garaiya against GT500-cars and it's too hard to do so on laps with a straight longer than the backstraight of Autumn Ring.

The (stock) Amemiya RX-7, however, does pretty well compared to GT500 cars ... I still have to try and give the Amemiya a ride in the JGTC ...

This race can be won in a stock Honda S2000 LM Race Car '01 (R1 Tires) or an Toyota Altezza Touring Car '01 for 200 a-spec points and it should be a good close race - I would guess that you would need a lineup without the RX7 LM as it is in a class of its own for this race. Any other ops should be fine.

I don't really care about the race being close for b-spec points.
I b-specced it in 40 to 50 minutes, with my PescaroloCourage Judd Race Car and lapped them more then 4 times
