VTEC Kicked in Yo!!!11!!1!!!

How very brilliant why didnt anyone else think of that :dunce:

Actually if yous read further down it is all explained from the guys friend - The lug nuts were the wrong size, even tho he tightened all of them up they stripped the threads as they were only just grabbing the thread.

I failed to see why honda came into your head when the video is of an RX7 with its wheels falling off - when did vtec destroy anything apart from anything you have ever driven?

ummm, you have never visited the funny pic thread have you, lol.

It's a joke that you say whenever something happens causing another (usually bad) thing to happen. For example

Also, whats with the insult? You are right, vtec does beat anything i have ever driven because i have never driven anything apart from a go-kart. In my opinion vtec is the suxorz

Insult? What insult? - i'm basicly fed up with people slagging Honda for no reason - considering this thread is about a Mazda i think this proves my point.

I couldnt care if you dont like Honda or Vtec - theres no need to advertise it - i dont go around saying - oh Honda's rock - Vtec is amazing even though i love Honda.

I would take "when did vtec destroy anything apart from anything you have ever driven?" as an insult

well in my eyes, honda is a big lump of garbage, but that is just my opinion

I'm not saying your not entitled to your own opinion - saying honda is garbage is a bit extreme tho considering there achievements in the automotive industry. And no doubt you say that because of the countless idiots who whack a 10" fart can and so on on there honda but by no means does that make honda garbage.

I didnt mean that as an insult - merely a comparison to what you were saying. As you replied to a thread which was titled 'Someone tell me what happen her ?' - it was a mazda with its 4 wheels falling off and you said it was due to 'VTEC Kicked in Yo!!!11!!1!!!'.

Now in my opinion that was not anything that was relevant to this thread - it was a pointless post.

I posted it to bring out a few smiles on the people who know the joke.

The joke doesn't have to be related to honda in any way. If you still don't understand it, type it in yahoo or google images then you'll understand why i posted it.

Offtopic: yes, pointless: no. The post was good because you will find these (or similar) words along pretty much every picture or video of cars at the moment. It has become a running gag, don't take it so seriously! :sly:

the Interceptor

Thats only funny when it happens to a HONDA. Looks like someone doesn't know how to use a wrench over there. :dopey:

If the blame lies with the driver or his crew, then he deserves all he got.
The car should be checked at any meeting when work is done or parts are changed. :dunce:

If on the other hand it was sabotage they would have no reason to check, and I personally would be seriously pi$$3d off.

Even though it was fun to watch I just think he's an idiot for not checking his nuts first.
I check mine daily! :dopey:

He did check them, they were properly torqued. The driver/owner is not at fault in that respect.

Whoever selected the wrong size nuts is at fault, whoever that was.

This is what happens when you use Chinese lug nuts.

This just got posted on NASIOC by someone who was there:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18374879&po...

Hello all,
I was at the event and know the guy who owns the car. (No it wasn't me)
I was in the paddock area next to him changing wheels at the same time as him. I watched him torque all of them. I even borrowed his torque wrench to tighten mine (I always forget something after I get on the road).

He went to a wheel/tire business and asked for spline drive lug nuts for his particular make/model/year car for the Enkeis, and that's what they gave him. He did not purchase the tires or wheels from them, just the lug nuts.

The lug nuts where sheared off the studs. Several members lifted a corner of the car to slide a jack underneath it. With a few more jacks, blocks of wood, etc, they were able to mount the stock wheels and stock lugs nuts (at least 3 per wheel) back on, torque them and drive the car off course. The design of the car, possilbly for aerodynamics, tucks all mechanicals on the underside a little higher than the body line, or lowest part of the brake rotors. Not even the exhaust was really scratched.

I'm not a mechanic, but the mechanics theories there was that the lug nuts where the incorrect size, but they were just small enough to grip the outer edge of the threads (as I mentioned, they torqued to 75-80 ft/lbs without complaint).

@all the Honda crap: I am a Honda fanboy. I thought it was funny. In fact, I was going to post that myself until I saw that Diablo had posted it.

Just because you own a Honda doesn't make it any less funny or change the point. If it does, you = FAIL.

[ontopic]That really sucks, but why would you us any other lugnuts than the ones that were on before?[/ontopic]
