So I was editing my post as Nick was posting his. Who got theirs in first?
 
who got it in first ?


EDIT - perhaps Suede53 would not mind re-posting another song,it's to hard to tell who got in first.
As TB said,I was posting at the same time he was editing.

3rd EDIT - please remember that tomorrow midnight is the last night for the "cars theme" as posted by PARAGON GT. refer to (post #22).
The person with the last correct answer will have their choice of picking a theme of any sort or just keeping an open door.
The next week will run through 3-28-09 midnight (you get an extra day),as to keep us on track for the weekly thing.If there is a song hanging out (un-answered),it will be disreguarded and the new week will start with the new host's theme.

New host - please state what your upcoming theme will be in bold or color to keep everybody on the same page. THANKS

The only problem with that is I could have then double posted within 2 minutes of each other.

👍 Good idea! Although I see TB's point about double posting as well. I was thinking that before there used to be a small timestamp when it was last edited at the bottom of the post where you could also enter a reason. Did that go away?

Something else I thought of while trying to pick a new song, is keeping a list of previous songs. It's not too bad yet but I can imagine it being tedious to scroll through many pages to see if the song has been used or not.


Anyway, enough of that. New Song below:

The green timestamp only shows up if it's more than a few minutes (3+ I think) after your original post.

NicksFix: The scoring since the incident with you and TB this morning is 1 point for me (on Suede's song re-post) and 1 point for Suede (on my posted song) giving us both 2 regular points in total.
Do you think you could add a line before the scores or after, in the first post, with a rough notation of when you updated the score? Perhaps a post number for the last post of the thread at the time of your score edit.

I did some more testing and I think as long as you enter a reason, the timestamp shows up, regardless of time. The one below is only 1 minute from the original. 💡

Well, it was... I wasn't thinking and edited it again and changed the timestamp :dunce:

It's my 5 year old son's birthday today and I'm leaving work in a few minutes. One of two things will happen - I'll get a song posted and someone else can verify it or I won't have time to find a good one and you'll have to wait until after they're in bed. Stay tuned... :D

What I can do is when I update the scoring,I will put it in a post here,and also post updated scoring on page 1 refering back to the post number and the days date on it as well. 👍

Yea yea that sounds good. 👍 I've been trying to keep an eye on things, but sometimes we go through 3 or 4 songs within a few hours and I lose track.

As far as keeping track of songs used ....... hmmmmmm,well,the mods may come down on us for listing every song that we do here (not sure about this,we don't need to stir up any trouble :nervous:),it is going to take up a ton of space once this really gets up there.Perhaps for now,we can just keep track of these ourselves on a notepad by our PC,or if someone has a better idea,lets hear it please. 💡

Regarding keeping track of songs - Every once in a while I can make a pdf (or txt, doc, etc.) of the songs we've done and attach it to my post or you can put it in the first post, Nick.

Kids are playing with the new toys. Song still pending. :p

For the song list, should I also include the lines used or would it be a good idea to just stay away from any on the list completely?
 
Good point TB , just thinking , lets shy away from re-using songs that have already been posted,There is enough music out there in this world without having to re-post a given song.

EDIT : I have to bail out on Sir Mix Alot - don't know this song :boggled:

We have another 29 or so hours until the Sir Mix-A-Lot song becomes a stumper, so, if I understand the rules, I'll be picking the next category? If so, I have an interest check:

A guy I work with brought it up and I like it. A lot. TV show theme songs. Forget posting the artist, as you'd be hard pressed to find them and they probably won't do any good anyway. Just post a verse of the song with your omitted words as we have been and we supply the missing words and the TV show.

Thoughts?
