I have and its OK, I mean its uncomfortable without mods. The picture quality is excellent however and the 3D effect is good, not spectacular. With PC games and Track IR though its better.

Hi mate.With that device in your head that covers your eyes,how can you see,for example,the Gear indicatore or the Button box?I have my own cockpit with a lot of devices like the GI-MAX and DSD button box....i think that with that thing in your head you aren't able to see them!

I can understand that not seeing gear indicator or dsd box is not practical, I have none of those it is not going to be an issue. But for the shifter, I know where it is and I dont have to look at it to shift, in fact I find it funny that some one would stop watching the road to watch the shifter before shifting, good one.:-)

Yes I can imagine that track IR can be really cool with this. Maybe we will get it with GT6, as an alternative to 3 screen set up. The actual implementation in GT5 with the PS3 eye is very limited.
you can see your shifter and button boxjust fine since you can remove the lower light shields and see fine anything from yuor bottom of the wheel back. its hard to explain without actually having it on yourself.
I just got the update for GT6 that allows 3d viewing. I'll be dusting off the old HMZ to test it tonight. What's nice about GT6 is that while we don't yet have the course creator (that was great in 3d) we have the ability to change time of day and weather on many of the tracks.
