My slot for racing is 1-3am after a 4 hour recording session each night. I'm mentally tired and ready to relax with some laps.

No off line left (DON'T mention whats not yet in the game please).

Daily races dont appeal..

Lobbies...ah so much cholce!

Except.

1st 2 attempts DISCONNECTED FROM NETWORK.
Except I am l like..uh connected.

3rd attempt. Im in! Oh dude starts race before I can choose car.

4th attempt. Race starts....HOST HAS ENDED THE SESSION.
Everyone is kicked?

5th attempt. Race starts...ahh game crashes with post report to PSN

6th attempt. Load lobby. Hangs on loading screen showing car's butt for several mins.

So far Ive wasted 35 mins of my life trying to actually race ANYONE.

So it's back to my career in Project Cars 2.
I know in 5 mins I will be having fun racing.

I always despise online only games. Tolerate them IF they actually work. 6/6 fails tonight.

I will never EVER miss the CONNECTED TO SERVER message every bloody session.

Donnington (it's a real world track not in GTS) here I come!

There is a huge online section already in the game - custom races.
With thousands of combinations of events that can be created, even the fastest driver can find something suitably challenging.
I like doing N400 Porsche 911 Vs Group B, or N300 racing Concept Toyota Vs N1000. Usually with fuel consumption.

35 minutes? Really? Sounds like a bit of an exaggeration. Also, let's call it 4/4 attempts. Your 3rd attempt you left because the host started the race, not a flaw with the game. Attempt 4, you joined a room with fixed hosting setting turned on, not a flaw with the game.

Your 5/6th attempts are also the only ones I could see getting frustrated with. Your first 2 probably were all of 30 seconds of your time, I'm guessing you tried getting in shortly (or immediately) after you booted your PS4 on, when it can take a minute or two for the game/internet to connect you to the server. Happens to me all the time. Again not the games fault.

Good for you for tolerating GTS. Must've been hard. I'm sure we'll hear from you again when the update drops. Speaking for myself in saying I won't really miss reading your posts in the meantime. But you're welcome back:rolleyes:

Yes I started a whole new thread about the LOBBIES not 🤬 working at all tonight.
I DONT create many whining threads. Only when the game suffers MULTIPLE crashes in 30 mins and is therefore unplayable.
Yes I have created many lobbies...as you'd all know like if you READ all the other threads you are referring to.
Sometimes I like to you know pick up and play a game. This aint that game.

Yes 35 bloody minutes. You forgot the time it takes to re-enter filter info that IS NEVER saved every single time you search for a lobby plus checking lobby info/race details etc.
Plus the lobbies that I actually got into I spent 5 mins or picking car and checking tuning and know PRACTICING. BEFORE they started and /or crashed

I booted game 12:10 I posted my thread 12:44...ok 34 minutes.

Don't be so nit-picky about the lobbies, or like others suggested, make your own. You can save whatever you like and just start the lobby when you get on. The "time" you have included in your 34 minutes is a lot of time you could've saved had you just done that.

And looking through all of the threads you've created, I'd actually say you've several whining threads.

The game wasn't unplayable tonight. You were picky and impatient. Sorry, but that's what happened.

So you are basically ignoring my thread saying joining lobbies has FAILED tonight and recommend another mode. Making your own. Which I usually do.
MY game WAS unplayable tonight. FACT. In regard to my wish to JOIN lobbies.

Not another mode, literally the same mode used in a different way. And yes, frankly I am ignoring a lot of what you posted here because
A.)It's a lot of things that were either not the games fault or because you couldn't find a you wanted.
B.) It's remarkably similar to any of the other number of threads you've started ranting on about things so I got the gist of what your on about.

Filtering the lobbies for what you desire is going to strictly limit the amount of lobbies you find to your liking, therefore you should've just made your own and people would join.

Your "wish" to join lobbies was impeded by your making because you couldn't find what you wanted. You could've found a working lobby in five minutes, instead you decided to spend (waste?) the time looking for stuff that wasn't there. The game was not unplayable. Your preferences made it unplayable, for you.

Wow...I'm an idiot because I use filters to OMG heaven forbid

1) Choose a race
2) choose a track
3) choose a car
4) choose Bop on on or off

I am SOOOO picky. I humbly apologize for using what's in the game to choose a session of my liking.
I should have just randomly jumped in and hoped for the best!

Anyways back to my original post. It was the game crashing and/or failing to connect to the servers that caused the crashes.
Oh potato head good point...except...I choose NOT to go back.

I'm glad some people in this thread aint politicians.
Complaint : Umm my trash didnt get collected this week and my running water smells funny
Response : Sorry sir, MY trash was collected and you can buy bottled water at any gas station. Stop complaining.

So this all happened before your self allotted GT Sport time?

Yeh I finished early tonight as I put 2 hours in earlier on the new song :D

@Sloppy Shades wanted to vent. That's what forums are for (kind of). I feel your pain @Sloppy Shades , and don't think you should be attacked for venting your frustration. You were completely respectful in doing so. But trust me, I've had the same feelings the other way around. PCars 2 has gotten me just as frustrated. Lately, I've found peace in using the two games to balance each other out. And when they both get me ticked... There's the amazing Nordschleife experience in Assetto Corsa. Just pick ANY car, and rip it around the Nordschleife with your favorite tunes jamming.

So emotional over 6 failed connections in 34 minutes?

Had a bad day?
Oh you know. Busy life. Limited game time, you look forward to this me time and you can't because the game does something like this. Totally natural response mate.

For me its choose another game to play. For someone else it's the only game they play.

Why would it be useless?
If cars didn't have to be purchased with credits, arcade mode wouldn't be useless. In fact, it would be awesome. But since GTSport decided to have an in game economy, playing for zero rewards seems kind of, I don't know, useless?

This game even gives you credits, mileage and experience points for Time Trialing, as does the custom race creator.

Race offline > profit ... buy cars.

Then I stand corrected, and offer apologies for not knowing. I thought arcade didn't give payouts, therefore I didn't race in them. My bad.
:dunce: Derp.

No worries.

The custom race creator advises you of the payouts you can receive whilst you're tweaking the settings, so you can find a good balance between something that might be enjoyable, and something that rewards you for your time.

Time Trialing is what I normally spend most of my time on anyway, it's nice that this time around you get paid for it. It's not a lot, and I haven't really figured out the payout structure.

Indeed. And the custom race feature is far more powerful than the arcade mode of GT5 and GT6. You can customize most aspects of the race.

My game would not connect to the GT servers last night... all I wanted to do is "study" replays, but, since there is no "hard save" that was out the window. I really wish replays photos etc were saved to the device... oh well.
I made a stiff adult beverage, played with the dogs, and when I came back and did a reconnect all was golden.
So, I feel the frustration.
I will agree with others, making custom races can be entertaining, especially when you don't want the stress of racing real people.

I've played every offline mode to death and time trialed and tuned every car if not every car on every track. I have purchased or won every single car in the game and levelled them all up except every VGT. I have earned the credits and mileage for this by legitimately racing thousands of miles myself in custom races and time trials. Not one single glitch or rubber band was used. All my own time grinding. So as I don't really feel like comparing the handling of a 208 vs a Clio at the ring at 2am there is nothing left to do. I tbink I'm level 40 all legit as I said. Got about 10M credits and 25k mileage points but nothing to use them on.
Thanks for the kind understanding words of some people here.
Ironically after posting last night I went to Pcars 2 for a couple hours at Knockhill not Donnington (so sorry if that's spelt wrong please forgive me) and could not for the life of me get through a single lap in either qualifying or the actual race without time penalties for cutting the track or something. Assetto Corsa looks interesting except I'm really done racing alone late at night. I have plenty other non racing games too from ps plus this year just begging to be played.
