South Park or Family guy?

ok, with the Simpsons slowly leaving television two of the most popular shows right now are fighting for the title of "top cartoon". Which one is better?

South Park....

or

Family Guy?

South Park. Family guy is great, but it's just so abstract at times you do wonder where they are goin with it all.

For my personal watching I'd say Family Guy. I watch Family Guy.
However, for the greater audience... South Park.

South Park can be funny, vulgar, violent, and perverse but it is always growing.

Family Guy on the other hand doesn't have near as much content nor does it tackle new events in such a fresh manner.

Every time I watch Family Guy, even with episodes I might not have seen (new ones), I know what to expect. With South Park it's something new every time, old episodes grow old quickly but new episodes are always shockingly entertaining.

Ditto. I can't stand South Park, and while I still like The Simpsons, there's something about the newer seasons I don't like. But, to be fair, I don't get to see them on TV so it's not a real bother.

I get angry when I watch new episodes of the Simpsons, since their earlier seasons beat out any other show, in my opinion. Unfortunetely for several years now it has been on a steady decline. Seasons 4-6 of the Simpsons will beat anything South Park or Family Guy will ever do

I think Family Guy is the worst out of the three by far, and though they have had a few pretty funny episodes, most of the jokes are just nonsensical flashbacks.

However right now, South Park takes the cake, they seem to be coming up with the freshest, funniest material out of any of the three right now, and haven't shown much signs of slowing down yet. Some of the characters have developed really well over the years as well.

This post sums up my thoughts on this perfectly. I was thinkin the other day - the Simpsons season 8 might actually be the best season of any show, ever. Every single episode is a classic.


And South Park easily beats Family Guy, of course. South Park goes for the big joke/concept, not irrelevant little jokes. Seth McFarland has some funny in him, but it's getting old.

Sorry guys, i voted for The Simpsons.

Well i liked the humor in South Park and in family guys, but i just got stuck with The Simpsons my whole life. I mean there the longest running American sitcom and animated program. Thats got a lot to be said.....I hope they do continue the series....if not, well i don't know then.....

i love family guy since it started but they have been toning it down latly. but i love how random it is.

i loved southpark since it started and it seems like every passing year they get raunchier and push the limits further. and i love how they so blatantly make fun of things.

but i still cant choose one over the other, so i will say.... futurama FTW.

and the simpsons i cant even bring myself to wath them anymore. they have gone downhill majorly. but i love watching the old episodes. especially when conan o'brien wrote for them.
