Remember the World Cup of Movie Cars? Well it's back, and this time it's TV.
Over the next week, I'll be taking suggestions from GTPlanet members of what the greatest television car in history was - or is. I'll follow that up with a poll thread which will contain all* of the suggestions to come up with a final shortlist of 32.
I'll then seed those 32 by the poll results (top seeds will be the eight highest-scoring cars), and draw them into eight groups of four (one top seed in each group, one second seed, one third seed, one fourth seed) at random. They will then go onto our social media channels for voting. Two cars from each group will progress to a head-to-head second round, gradually whittling the field down to a final vote between the two remaining cars. The winner will be GTPlanet's Greatest Television Car of All Time.
The selection criteria are:
* The car must appear in any broadcast or streamed television show
* Yes, that includes cartoons, anime, whatever
* Yes, even fictional ones
* Yes, even if it's a TV show based on a film, or which subsequently had a film
* Bikes aren't cars. Nor are trikes, or quadbikes. I'll allow panel vans (which you can drive on a car licence) but not trucks/semi-trucks (which you can't).
Have opinions now.
*There is an upper limit; we may remove cars from the list of suggestions if they are not significant enough within their show to really qualify as "a TV car", such as something really cool you saw in the background of a TV show that you like. We will likely use IMCDB's star rating as criteria for this.
