I'm gonna have to go with everyone else. Wait for Ben's approval with the alliance and such. He is the leader as well.
 
Ok here's my thoughts on the situation if Jimmy was going to let SS run 2 teams I would rather have 2 SS teams not 1 mixed team there are drivers here who didn't get a chance to qualify and some who have improved their skill and been loyal to the team for a long time.
No offense to Alvin and the iceboys it's good to see another local team but as for using SS guys so icyboys can enter h2h I'm abit against that idea if we were to join as an alliance may be a different story but as to whether SS wants to be an alliance the team would have to vote.
Just my opinion though

Firstly, applogies for not being online. Had a few issues to deal with inclucing a flooded garage!!

Anyway, from what Ive read Alvin has suggested an alliance and two combined teams?

Im against this, we had the qualifying round for a reason... to decide our 6 best drifters that will represent our team, Southern Sliderz.

No offence to anyone but thats just the way I see it.

ICYBOYS should be running there on team in the tourny.

ps. if ive read this wrong let me know - im at work so only had a quick scan.

pps. Good to see you online drifta, hope the jobs going smooth - cant wait to catch up for a slide

Oh yeah Ben, I got a message regarding some D1 battle from SRPanda. Just use the H2H team or create a new team?

I agree with what the leader wants.

Are we going to have tryouts like H2H cause this will seem pretty important.
 
Yea, this will be our first major battle:)

I think a tryout session would be important, to see who's at the top of their game.

Doesn't have to be a comp - we could just have a few mods watch over a drift session, more of a relaxed layout. Mods could pic out those who are driving well. Just a thought
 
For every new comp that SS enters we should have to battle for the top spots to represent the team like the last one we had for the team h2h. That way only the best get to represent SS.

But I'd like to see it like a knock out comp

I'd like a knockout comp too but they are time consuming & there's the issue of good drifters being knocked out to easily.

Maybe we should hold an SS knockout comp in the future, once this battle is out of the way

Southern Sliderz have been looking for other teams to take on for ages now. Hit up Stavingo or Accendo with a PM or leave a message in our thread. (the biggest thread in the drifting forum with over 2000 posts) 👍

I think on friday nights sesh we have the mods pick out the best of us, so we can start showing what were really made of.

Should give DriFta a chance to get some sweet footage to ;)

I dunno if I'd call it an alliance, we aren't exactly in a war or anything.

I think of it more as a friendship between our teams, we drift together and have some friendly competitions but when it comes to the serious stuff like comps, we need to be seen as seperate teams.

What do you think?

I vote no to an alliance at the moment havnt even seen you guys drift don't know how many guys you have and only seen you round the thread last couple days. If you drift with us more often and get to know everyone I couldn't see why not in the future.

It seems as though a fair bit has been sorted out since this morning. Just got back from the mount and man that Mclaren F1 Car sounds insane.

Oh and I don't think I'd really want to form an alliance yet. It'll be virtually a takeover as they have no members.
 
Your in luck. I shall try and paste them together into the 1 video then upload later tonight/this arvo. Its not much, mainly just the cars going up the hill after the first corner but you can really hear the howl from the F1.
 
Man this battle with Team SR is gonna be weird if we do it. If I get in I'll feel like it's some practice session that counts lol.

We still have to make the 4 man team. You better check out the H2H thread as your versing TTCH. Your the only SS member left! 👍

The most complicated problem will be the fact that their team is based in the US. Not gonna work out well at all.

Timezone wise were about 12 hours apart. So if we set it up for a saturday or sunday morning (our time) it should suit them quiet well. As for connection issues... Don't even get me started on F'n connection issues 🤬

I wont be on until after TopGear, so 10 for me

i saw u drift the commodore ss would be possible to have the setupas my setups aint that good
