Not sure, but hopefully around 8 or 9. I got all this free time cause I have no assignments due for the rest of the term except normal homework.

OT: I seriously want this car

Year 11 is much more socially enjoyable for me then any of the rest of school thus far. All the dropkicks and F... heads have left for the meatworks or to work at woolworths, so youre left with a good bunch of close mates. Not saying were all great friends (we have our fights) but we are all mature and focused on the goal at hand. Finishing year 11 and setting up for year 12 and an enjoyable life :)

FYI i no longer have a chaser lol. Stav's got it ;)
 
And I'll make good use of it, may get an AE86 after looking on carsales at that sexy blue beast. Look at this baby!!!!

i got 2 and one sitting in my ucd i think. i'll send it though if you want just send a fr also the on in the ucd is sliver while the rest are white.
 
Problem officer, both are too easy to drive. I want a manual and something without aids. If I get an 86 it'll be a daily driver/drift car.
Must also consider the fact that there aren't too many 86's lying around down under and the cars you listed are both stock. Car has some modifications all round.

I long for a Tureno AE86 but if I get it I'll probaly do the same. That is when I get my licence.
 
Trueno's are a helluva lot more expensive than a levin, you can thank Initial D for that.
Good luck getting one if you have the money, they're at least 10 grand .

Yea, but there in lies the fun... In SA, the government not only disallowed P platers from driving turbo's (non diesel) but also made every modified p plate registered car go over a pit. Where they will be thoroughly inspected and any performance mods will result in it being barred from P plate use

So my only real option is to buy something cool, standard (and cheap) now, save my money and when i finally get my full license turn it into a beast :)

Still on my L's for 5 months though, as the government decided that 11 days before my birthday, they would change the L's period from 6 months to 12. I hate my government :(

Fair enough. In NSW, as long as it isn't V8 or a turbo your all good. Wow less than 3 months until I get my P's (hopefully).

But, you have to do 100 hours before you get your P's.

The best way to buy a Levin or Trueno is to get it imported from Japan. I nearly did it but it wasnt practical for me atm. You will need at least $13k or you could just buy a POS from here for 10 or under.

I cant believe how young all you kids are lol. Id hate to be back in high school. Although the chicks didnt put out like they do now so maybe i would haha.Im 33, married no kids and drive a 6L Thunder SS ute. Ive had a Gemini for a 1st car with Camera rims head ported and polished, Webber carby and extractors. That thing used to go so hard it blew away most V8's. Its still my fav car out of all the cars ive own, even my Thunder. Oh i had a VS SS Panther Mica before the ute and still have it if anyone is interested. $3k. Needs work.

Anyway enough of this shyt, i got my PS3 back today so ill be on all night until the missus cracks it :P
 
Nice, I'll probably buy a POS one from here and modify it from there. No point buying a car in good condition and you can't really do anything to it. But whatever.

My god is the HSC gonna be hard next year. :(
 
what about a volvo 240 and when i'm on my full licence i'll put a rotary or v8 in it.:lol:

Waste of time and money STAV, im telling you. I wouldn't recommend importing one for your 1st car as you will need to learn to drive properly. This takes time.

Just buy a POS for you 1st car and run it into the ground. Dont worry about getting dints and scratches.
 
Yeah, thats what I said. I will buy my first one from here. But the one I'm looking at is pretty sweet though.

I got told a story by one of the guys I raced with that his friend had a freshly tuned faclon and at the lights this Volvo pulled up next to him.

Rotary Volvo wagon? Lol, lol, lol,lol, lol! I'd recommend an R31 pintara/skyline for a bong around 1st car. we had a paddock basher* pintara when i was about 10 and thats where i learn't to drift, do burnouts, do circle-work, follow a racing line (in real life) and install a turbo :)
And as for your volvo, may i recommend an R34 drivetrain. Would be sweet 👍

Padock basher= Rough car thats main objective is to be a hunting vehicle for adults & 2nd objective is to be a helluva lot of fun for everyone else. Usually driven in a scrub or paddock :)
 
Have to agree with monstar if your seriously thinking about an 86 I would import from japan most the jobs over here will be unfinished projects or thrashed and could be a local levin converted to Japanese specs a Japanese model will hold value better comes with LSD and an original 4age engine be prepared to spend some good cash as low k's means more $$$

Definitely a car I would keep for a long time and don't buy a levin must be a trueno :lol:

THANKS I'll and that idea to the list and for the skyline as a first car I'm not that much a fan of the skyline range, so I'll see what I can get. I had a look on cars sales and theres no good manual V-TECs in NSW.(yes I am a Honda fan)
