High-Test
1. Name the Truck Brand
2. Name the man that started it
3. Name the man's earlier namesake venture that lived until very recently.
4. Tell what's special about the truck brand.

1. REO
2. Richard (?) Olds. - Edit... Ransom Olds. No idea what the "E" is for though... :D
3. Oldsmobile! (d. 2004)
4. Errr... there's a band named after it?

Oh yeah

Famine's right, I was reading about Ransom E. Olds at Wikipedia

Its him I think

REO stands for Ransom Eli Olds I read.

And Oldsmobile lived until 2004!

Your go famine:)

The not so special things are that REO speedwagon is named after an REO firetruck, and REO is Ranson Eli Olds' initials.

Oh sorry, I forgot... I didn't think part 4 had been adequately answered though...

*plots evil question from hell*

Well, while Famine schemes...
I have another Vette question...
In the '63-'67 Stingray what option was available in the coupe, that could not be had in the Convertible?

A for effort, but neither of those is correct.
This is the only hint: It's something rather obscure. (at least in 'Vette lore)
Reportedly, only 2 cars came off the line with this option in 1967.

You may not even be able to google it up.

*edit* you CAN Google it.

The L88 engine option or something like that?

I read on Car & Driver a while back that only two Corvettes ever rolled off the assembly line with the engine option; it doubled the car's price (somewhere near $4500) and offered exceptional performance but was too expensive.

Heat? Fuel Injection?
A small Block?

An auomatic?
Side pipes?

Nope, Nope, Not even close, nope (the Powerglide was around thru 1967 in ALL models), and nope (You could also get the factory side pipes in both coupe and 'vert).

I said "mundane". What is "mundane" about a big-block or a small block of that era rumbling down the street thru side pipes?

Think "Mad Max".

A paxton blower? but.. that's not mundane either.

Reclining seats?

EDIT: A bench front seat?

I haven't seen Mad Max, so I don't know what that could be referencing...

How about a color?
A different set of wheels or hubcaps??

36 gallon gas tank. Someone else can post a question, I'm busy doing homework.

Keef is the man. That is what I was looking for.
ZAD, the father of the Corvette had in in the original Z06 Option package, for endurance racing. You could also order it as a separate option.

I was under the impression that the Z06 option was only available in the 1963 Corvette, not for the whole C2 generation.
Therefore, the question itself was flawed in that it was a one-year only option. GM announced a racing ban in late 1963, so the option was discontinued. The big-tank was only offered with Z06 'Vettes.
Anyway, I just thought I'd point that out. Carry on.

Obviously it wasn't offered only on the Z06 vettes--it was a stand-alone option in 1967, and only two cars came out of the factory with it. Google 1967 vette options and click on the first result (1967 Corvette Specifications). It has the option, the number sold, and the price for all the options, even the paint and interior colors.
