I hereby announce that henceforth this day, 21 October, will forever be remembered as "LoudMusic's Resurrection Day" :dopey:

How many were they? 8?

This has to be some kind of world record! 👍

Shoooot, had to be more than that. Lemme count`em up.

...

I counted twenty four. That doesn't include all the ones I looked at and decided to not add a reply to. I have 20+ pages of my own threads ... shows what over 3 years of GTP will do to a guy ...

Damn.....Loudmusic, your one lean mean thread making machine!

Kudos, Loudmusic. But admit it, some of your threads are pure CRAP.

Like the "All Alone on GTP" thread. A pure waste of time, space, breath,...and space.

There hasn't been much in the way of new threads that are worth reading / replying to so I decided to dig through the ones I knew I would like - my own threads! (:
That's his reason.

Calling the kettle black, Mr. Anderton?
All my threads have an identifiable TOPIC, other than simply creating a thread because I'm bored / "alone" on GTP. So it's not a case of calling the kettle black, because I ain't no pot.

Those are usually the fun ones. :)

I've only been here for a year, but things sure have changed. :indiff:

You do realise those threads date back from at least 2-3 years ago, at a time when GTP was just the shadow of what it is today? 3 years ago there weren't even 500 people registered. Back then the community was much tighter, much friendlier, and because of the lack of members, you could get away with that stuff. The fact he bumped back an old thread, we'll take the Alone on GTP one because that's the one you're whining about, that has its point, too. With the upcoming release of GT4, we're bound to have a bunch more newbies, which will further grow this community, and further complicate the moderating staff's job.

We (the moderating staff) are competent enough to see which thread is garbage, and which isn't (and at the same time, a thread that started out as a pointless one can easily be turned into a meaningful one with one reply), we don't need a bunch of crybabies complaining at the very sight of an off-topic post. If you don't like what you see in a thread, click that back button, and either wait for the staff to clean it up, or let it die slowly into oblivion.

I don't think I'm being a "crybaby" just because I mentioned that one of Loudmusic's threads was crap. I wasn't petitioning to have it closed or anything.

Sheesh, you old-schoolers are so protective of each other...

So basically, Loudmusic is just bringing up old threads, to rekindle memories, gone past, on GTP. I don't mind.:)

Can't be much worse than discussing the release date of GT4 in 10 different threads and car lists in 20 more.

Dude! Demon that's one of my favorite avatars (that I made back in the day). Cindy Crawford is teh h0tn3ss.

She is rather good isn't she? You would know after all. Alas I think I might trade her in for something else when I turn 600 though.

I thought that was Trinity!

Lol. I didn't read this thread yet, and I said this on MSN:

Matt says:
god damn LoudMusic can make new threads like lightning
Matt says:
Rumble Strip, hes gone nuts

Would you mind explaining to me exactly how we are supposed to let a thread die when 2-year old threads keep being resurrected for no good or worthwhile reason other than Loudmusic's claim that there are no new threads worth reading?

This is crap. The only message you're sending is that those of us who weren't here when the site started will never be considered a true part of the community. The more you act to let old-schoolers do anything they want and clamp down on new-schoolers for doing the same thing the more polarized the "community" will become.

If I or any other somewhat new member, opened a thread to talk about how bored I am because at the moment there are no other users online, it would be closed before we could say Bob's your uncle.

I agree to an extent. I don't overly care about the favouratism as much, but LoudMusic keeps resurfacing old threads to say how bored he is, etc. I don't think that's appropriate at all. I mentioned this in another thread not long ago.

You can't fight City Hall, Jimmy.

Keep your pants on, Anderton. The modearting staff lets many threads go, even if the topic is a bit dodgy. I see no favoritism towards the old-schoolers.

I like the resurrection thing, although most threads are from before I joined, the resurrection of those that I can remeber triggers other memories of the person I was at that time. It's surprising how much you can change in a year. Looking back is interesting, to an extent.

I like taking my pants off. Does anyone know where this saying originated? Was it because in the past a lot of people took off their pants when they got agitated?

Probably it's just a sexual connotation...
