It does reset it, but if you write down what you've done, that won't be a problem...

{Cy}

I already know how to tune majority of cars specifically for speed test, but thanks for the option 👍

It does not reset the tune when you share the car, but you can only share one set up per car.

So if you have a car with an A, B and C set up, whichever is on the car when you share it will be copied to all three settings sheets.

Also, if you rename the set up it will revert to being called set up A when you share it.

If someone else puts the car on share, what was originally stated, and I go ahead and put the tune on, when they remove the shared car, the tune is also removed, reverting to the original tune that was on the car before going online 👍

Which is why Cy said that you could put the car on share, borrow it, tune it, write down the tune and post it or send it to someone, without any cars having to exchange hands.

I don't know if you have seen it yet, but they have added a nice car sharing feature in GT5.

Yes I know, but if I tune the car on share, does the tune stay? I've heard that it resets the tune.

You don't tune cars on share.
You tune them, then you share them.

I have no idea if your times are any good, I never ran the GTR.
He has done as asked, at least showing proof of a time, surely someone has a reply, no?

I'm waiting for someone to comment on it as well.. And for sneakypete to upload his time. Not that it'll make it or break it, just so you can see what I can do 👍

Thank you Kenny again :) but of people feel the need to criticize my work, at least I'm doing something right

Don't think the criticism/skepticism was directed at your work but rather the lack of work to back up your claim. You can't really fault people for being skeptical when you kinda set yourself up for it. Just try to look at from an outside perspective: *new guy:cool:* - *claims to be fast and can help me be fast too:eek:* - *no evidence of ability to do so:odd:* - *not sure if trolling:confused:*

Sure you know what your capable of but the rest of the world takes things at face value, meaning they form an opinion based on what they can see. You showed them nothing until just recently. I try not to jump to conclusions and give people the benefit of the doubt but most others don't. Hopefully your gtr tune/time will provide sufficient evidence to support your claim for those who were looking and give you a platform to build on. Best of luck to you man! 👍

To make this a whole lot easier for you, I will be uploading times and the tunes used.
NB!
All the times I will get round to putting up are a full throttle launch (once I press accel. test mode I hold down the accelerator to give me the most accurate and consistent times, auto will be notified when used).

I think the drag forum would be the better place for this. You could ask a mod if he can move this thread.

Just an idea....

I don't want people pulling this to shreds:scared: this was meant to be teaching people how to maximize their success on the speed test, which yes, can be beneficial for drags..

I have a question about tuning to a certain pp. If I weren’t so cheap I might buy the dlc, but I am so I won’t.
I sure you must have tested for this.
This pertains to tuning lower pp street cars.
Lately I have been equipping cars with all the upgrades and using the mid RPM range turbo kits.
I have then been using the power limiter to bring the car down to the desired pp. The limiter seems to really only lower the HP and has little effect on peak torque, though it is very apparent that the torque curve has changed in the graph.
If I remove all the engine mods and retune to the same pp, I have a few more horse power but a whole lot less torque.
Which way is faster for the same PP? A limiter lowered monster torque car with a few less HP, or a less built car.
