hi all , i tried the tav_moderna previews because they look so good, but ...

firstly the preview is blue (encrypted ?) and I cannot get a good end result.

for example with the "03 TAV Juni 2025 GeForce06 Far" one (without changing a thing) I get this:

then when I only increase the view angle to 17degrees in order to get the whole car in the preview, I get this white (end of the map ?):

Ideas on how to solve? I tried fiddling with the parameters but cannot get it fixed... :(
So for now sticking to a Redbull Hanger preview preset, but I like the lighting and reflections from tav_moderna better (minus the white part)

Same for me, tav has never worked even for unencrypted cars.
 
Is it just me, or does an extremely bright light appear in the cockpit and illuminate the entire interior whenever I turn on my car's headlights?
If you are using VR -

There is a bug with Emmisive Lights
You can try turning Photo Realism down to 0 in the red Pure app and reduce CSP Emmisive Lights to around 0.5 in the Pure Settings-AI tab

Hi.
TAV is very nice, but problematic to set up. It is blue like that when You try to set it up (so placing car is done by guessing) and if You zoom out to much You will see the end of room model like on Your pic. Just need to place car in different room location, further from edge.
 
Hi. Good job. If You don't mind this was added to Supra GT500 and some other small fixes. Let me know. Can i suggest something? If side shot was from a bit higher angle it would show car instead of wall on a tracks with narrow pitlane.

I did it in the infinite track so no wall and tested the final "product" at COTA.
I'll adjust it then, slightly higher with a closer FOV


Edit: all done!

Again, replace the txt with json and replace the old one with it!

Speaking about extremely bright things, does anyone else notice abnormally illuminated vegetation in various areas of @RMi_wood 's stunning Montagna di Pietra, such as in the bushes circled in red?

Yes. I've tried changing the day time and it seems the issue is caused by some strange light reflection.

dont know why but for me both skins look the same
Stick with one skin, they are quite equal and remove the 3Dtrees.
The track will look "natural" after @racinjoe013 magic :cheers:

I disagree, Koldo's physics make the car easy to drive. In fact, you can even select ABS and TC, which the cars in question didn't have at the time. As for the skins, only one is missing since the others are single-color. The missing one will be shared soon. Anyway, download the latest Pilot331 update; the brake bias has been revised.
The #39? Great news, I had a look at the AO, but that calamity is beyond my skillset. Also, agree about the fizix 👍

Quick fix for the 288 GTO. The MISC.kn5 file won't load due to mesh name mismatch between lods. The Audi A1 has some problems with the dash needles, me and @Pilot3331 are trying to fix this issue. 😎

since the latest CSP updates the old previews dont work anymore....

try one of these



also put that models.ini file in
assettocorsa\content\showroom\tav_moderna

and
ext_config into
assettocorsa\content\showroom\tav_moderna\extension

You're right, I didn't include any changelog. Except for some fixes, this update is nothing major for the config I already published. :D

1) Carpaint shader fix for every car (no more metallic carpaint everywhere);
2) Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale - exterior materials tweak and new RIM AO (wheels are magnesium, so a new AO map was needed in order to add metalness to the mesh without a mirror finish);
3) Alfa Romeo 4C - general shader tweak and odd rim shaders fixed;
4) Ferrari 458, 458 S3 and 812 Superfast - chromy leather fixed and general shaders tweak;
5) Ferrari 250 GTO - shaders tweak

There are some new entries: Alfa Romeo Giulietta/Giulietta Launch Edition, Audi A1 S1, Chevrolet C7 Stingray, Ferrari 288 GTO, Ford Mustang 2015 and Mazda Miata NA.

Unfortunately three cars are missing from this pack, I didn't finish them in time: Abarth 500 EsseEsse, Ferrari 312/62 and BMW M3 E92.

Thanks for this. I'm looking at revising the driver posture and shifting animation, so will post those if I get anywhere with them.
In the meantime, similar to previous texture mapping reports, the top brace of the roll cage texture needs revising too.

Speaking of the roll cage, it's currently extremely bright, and glows nuclear in sunlight. A quick check of the properties shows very high ksAmbient and ksDiffuse values, made worse by a config with Brightness = 5 for all cockpit metal. Reducing ambient and diffuse to a more normal 0.4 and setting Brightness = 1 in the config looks a lot more natural to me.
It'd also be good to apply some metallic shaders to various cockpit elements, but unfortunately lots of unrelated materials and meshes are grouped together. Being able to tweak individual material shaders is always useful to bring cockpits to life and to stop everything looking flat.

Any wiper experts here capable of simulating the pantograph wiper system on this car so that the blade remains vertical during the sweep? The twin-arm pantograph assembly is modelled, it's just not been implemented properly.

Pretty sure you need some know how in Blender to do that, seems quite "elaborate" for the CSP system
