God it would be great to have them in the UK. The only prob is the fact we have some of the worst railtracks in the world. Theres been paddington crash, Hatfield, Potters bar, oh the list of train crash/collisions is endless. Anything doing 400mph would be a death wish

I've just done a calculation that indicates the train travelled 27.8 metres in the frame.

if you get to do that again, try a full second of exposure...u might need to narrow the aperture to compensate for light. I guess the sense of speed won't show unless there's something to blurr, right?

it wouldnt show, because if you expose for a full second, it wont be really noticeable as an object, just a set of lines that cross the complete picture from end to end. at least to that speed. and I agree with Klos, pity for the roof light reflections, but the picture is cool.

I was shooting digital, so I tried a few exposure times, and that was the best - probably because I was handholding and it offered the best blend of striking image without camera shake.

Couldn't do a lot about the lights without some huge blinds. And the reflections were made worse by the double glazing.

What camera u got? My parents have a Nikon Coolpix 5000...i get it on most weekends for whatever i want. Not bad considering there's better on the market - it takes 5 megapixel shots. Raw image quality gets annoying with it because soooo much photoshopping can be needed sometimes to clean up the background due to how dirty the walls can be . They wanted the highest quality for $1400 Canadian and this was the best at the time.

My film camera is a 17 year old Canon AL-1 (SLR). I got it off my parents after they bought a more easy to use minolta

My digital camera is an Olympus C750-UZ. 4 megapixels and 10x optical zoom. I've had it about a month.

My film camera is a Canon EOS 50e. I've got 28-80 and 75-300mm lenses for it, plus a 2x converter. It's just over three years old now.
