Speeding up the install of data from disc based version

The game data will expand with each replay, and if you notice the first time you visit a track it takes a few seconds before you enter, but if you race another track and come back to the previous track, it will load faster and you will be racing away. That is the expansion of data we are all seeing. My spaced used was at 2.5 GB as well too last week, not sure what it is today after the quick patches.

I started doing this yesterday while lounging around watching football in the evening, and my game data went from about 2.5 gb to about 6.5 in a couple of hours. Thanks for this tip, but why can't we just select "complete install" anymore? What is gained from taking something like that away?

I have been playing on and off for about a week now. Where does it tell you how much you have installed? Thanks in advance. Baz

Game data utility from the main PS3 menu is the best way. Find GT6, press triangle and select information

PS3 main menu says about 8GB, in-game menu says about 2GB after 20hrs of continuous demos.
...I'm gonna shorten the demo playtime now .... and install an SSD on the weekend.

Good Luck with the SSD install, makes a big difference in load times.
