Hi,I took the liberty to start a spotrace in the Prologue forum and not in the spotraces forum due the fact we have a lot of new members attracted just by the Prologue game.
Lets see if there is some interest in some old fashion Off Line racing against the clock with a beast of a car.
The NISSAN GT-R '07
Post your best clean laptime in this thread and I will keep a running leaderboard.
Please add which fysics you used, standard or professional.
Race Details:
Mode:Arcade > Time Trial
Track: Eiger Nordwand forward
Make:Japan > Nissan
Model:GT-R '07
Driving Aids: Any
Transmission: Any
Tyre Type:S3
Standard Clean OLR Rules:
2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
Maybe you sould set a physics mode..? As anyone using 'standard' physics will absolutely blitz anyone using 'professional', or atleast list which mode the driver used.

Yeah, not only is it easier but it seems grip is higher also. Give it a shot, try standard for a few laps and I am quite sure you will have no trouble beating your professional time without even getting a near perfect lap.
I need to have some more Japanese lessons,
apperently my pyshics were on standard with the 1,09 time.
I changed it to professional and only got to 1'12.
So thanks for the tip ViperGTSR01 👍
This race is perfect to discover problems considering the future WRS.
Sjaak, you taunt me with a GT5 WRS prologue, shame on you as I do not yet have the PS3. Great idea, though. Hoping I'll be here sooner rather than later.
I got a 1:10.6xx with R3 Tyres before I saw you changed it to S3. That was with no aids and pro physics. I will try will S3 tyres now
BTW I really like this format as I don't have access to the PSN all the time so this is great for some competition, plus everyone posting times is a good clean racer so no corner cutting etc. I hope there will be more of these?

Had a go in Standard Mode tonight - 1'07.611. Ranked 16th or so. Used PSN Captain_Chaos76. Saved replay to my HDD.
Thanks Sjaak for this one - really good fun. Will have another go tomorrow. Might even try it in Pro Mode
Got a time of 1'11.591 in pro mode, somewhere around 50-52 on the online boards. I'll try and better it later; excellent time Z.
PSN - Chronos-GT
Used Sixaxis controller, gonna get a wheel soon when I buy a new house and have a dedicated games room hopefully. Played all GT's on ps1 ps2 with the duelshock so i'm used to it.
Did a few laps and managed to get a 1.11.472
Still a lot of room for improvment. Got a 48 in ranking with it. I know for sure I can work some more out of it, just need more practice.
Oh yeah forgot to include physics type 'doh
Used Sim physics with that run.
1:11.080 under pro physics with a wheel after a few laps this morning. Eiger is definitely not my track, but I think I may be able to crack the top 10 in the online rankings with a little work (currently 35th).
made it to 4th place with normal phy....about 0,6sec behind nr1....on sim phy i only done few laps and managed to get to 18th....need some more practice but have little time, will post my times later, spyrrari.
Using the Sixaxis Wireless for all current runs. I'm going to be using a DS3 once it gets released stateside. Would grab it [DS3] from play-asia, but I'm not really interested in paying shipping. Heavily considering a wheel, also, now that the physics (at least, to me) seem aimed in that direction.
Last night I was running with the BMW Z4 @ London (Forward) on R3 tires in simulation trim. No TCS, etc.. anyway, the top time there is at 0'58.016. Was done by someone with a GTRP alias, so I know it's an ace (no pun intended) of a lap. I placed #4 with a 0'59.000. I don't know if that person was using a wheel, but it looks like it. Anyway, I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I think we'll see a much bigger difference in wheel vs. controller times with this version of GT. Turning precisely with the Sixaxis is difficult . . . always fighting with understeer from even the slightest touch sometimes. Of course, I also still use the d-pad instead of the sticks..
See some nice times coming in on this GT-R trial with pro physics. 👍
Think I'll give it another go tonight.. can see .3 or so that I lost in the mess of hairpins.
With the DFP I am smoother (of course) but I cannot seem to feel the same limit I can with the DS2. A work in progress tho, but I am debating on using only the wheel with GT5P and GT5, go cold turkey I guess, haha.
