New time for me: 1'09.041 :)

The keyword there being 'gear selection' for me anyway.

Drifting's not gonna do you any favours but getting the tail out slightly around some of the tighter corners certainly helps as long as you can straighten up early enough to get good traction on the exit.
Yeah, i downloaded your lap and took a few notes from you on gear selection and line and it helped me out quite a bit(gear selection part).
Drifting(well, stepping the rear out a bit anyway. not exactly drifting) can help if its done properly here. Mainly on corners 1-2 and 3-4 if you can get a good exit speed and line to setup for the next corner. But i try to avoid it.

did a few more laps today(think my old dfp is so wornout i have to get a new wheel soon cause with this one the ffb just suddenly fails in mid corners!!..)but anyway here are my new times:
normal: 1.06.584
sim: 1.09.860.....

Agreed, obviously if your looking for the best lap time possible maintaining forward momentum and mechanical grip is the way to go, but i do find on the entry to turns 2 -3 that if u can get the rear out a bit it can aid your turn in, reducing the amount of lock required for these very tight turns.
For me it was all about finding a good line and the best gear for the long right before the tunnel, one which allows you to carry as much speed as possible up the hill through the tunnel and into the following fast right/left has been crucial to bringing down my time. :)

Haven't checked this in a few days, some nice improvements, nice job:tup: I had high confidence Duratec would pull out some more time, I concede!

After watching some replays I squeezed out a 1:11.271 , almost got sub 1:11 but then my mate distracted me and I binned it on the last corner!

Gave this a shot tonight, after about 20 min I squeezed out a 1:09:100. I was not a big fan of the GTR before tonight, but after getting used to it I went back to some other events and retried them with great results using the GTR.

My 1:09:100 lap was not as clean as I would have liked (too much drift/wheel spin).

I used :

Logitech Driving Force Wheel (old)
Professional Setting
Off
Off
Off
R3

I was kind of hoping to scrape into the 1'08's but i'm struggling to find any more time, its difficult to get the most from every turn in a single lap, you should stick at it i'm sure you could improve some. 👍

Unlucky, i know the feeling...

@ gitSehT, check the race details on first page mate, Tyre Type: S3, (i noticed you had got down R3's).

Doh, i was going from memory when i set it up, i'll give it a go again and see what i get :(

Ok, changed to S3's....what a difference :( I got 1:11:1xx or something like that :( Traction is your friend! oh well, i'll give it another 20 min tomorrow and see what happens.

Well after having a break from this car/track combo, i jumped back in the GTR last night and finally managed to get into the 1'08's. :)

New time: 1'08.881 (pro physics).

Thats amazing. now i feel even worse posting my time of 1'10.666, pro simulation-S/3 tires. still nearly two seconds behind. Once again amazing.👍

managed to improve by a slight margin.
new time: 1'09.339

How long do these Spotraces usually go on, any chance someone could start up a new one?

I would love to get into the 1'09's but dont think it will happen, i always have problems going through the turn after the tunnel, prolly the easiest one :(

sorry mate,I put your name on the list right now.

And about the duration of these spotraces, well, there is no deadline so it will never closed.

However,I will make a new spotrace this weekend.:)

I think I didn't post it because I didn't get into the 1'110s
