One thing I'd LOVE to see is sprint races. For instance you're given a road that exists in real life and you have to get from point A to point B as fast as you can. I would just love NORMAL roads that actually exist in real life and could be anything from the Stelvio Pass to the Evo Triangle in North Wales.

That's the thing for me with driving in real life, I love the technical aspect of it, the thrill and sense speed. But what I REALLY REALLY enjoy, what really makes me tick, is the feeling that I'm on some kind of journey - taking in breathtaking scenery and not having to do the same corner over and over.

I think that's why I love the Eigar and Matterhorn tracks the most and the concept of the Goodwood Hill Climb is so brilliant. It's just a shame that one is a circuit and the other is too short.

Does anyone else have the same feelings? Hopefully the track creator will open this a little; and hopefully it'll be better than the rubbish that was in GT5.

Well, its a shame the only thing in here was Goodwood, and I had some stupid Fast and Furious esque fun in GT5 doing drags on SSR7, but that would be nice. Kaz has mentioned about more point to points and customization for tracks in the track creator, so lets wait for it to come out! Other than that, I agree, more options always = more fun. :)

They did have A -> B racing in a previous version of the game. Exactly what you describe was in the game.
But they removed that part, called it development and named the game GT6

I posted a link on here which said about something cool about using GPS in smart phones to map a route, it was waiting to be accepted by a moderator but for some reason it's disappeared. Any ideas?

I'd like to see this developed into some sort of "Gumball Rally" or "Cannonball Run" event where you compete online with other racers to get from A to B.

They removed a feature where you would race from A->B in one car, passing other racers on the way, when you got there you would change into another cool touring car and do the next stint.

For that game they had promised point-to-point racing as something you could create in the track editor, which would potentially allow you to do what you wanted. Still, at least they delivered a track editor, so you could create a looping track of country road that you could play with friends, that way you could come close to doing a rally.

Alas, that game will no longer support online play, so that option is gone now.

It would be cool to be able to map out different routes to get from A to B also. Then have to find which route is the quickest. Maybe include obstacles like traffic, police, construction etc..

Well, in theory this is possible with the track creator. It is supposed to let you create a route using a GPS, so, if you drove down the different routes in real life you could race them in the game.

Of course, this isn't in the game yet and we don't know if it ever actually will be.
