TaZZ_1990.jpg

Next driver selected to GT-MES Hall of Fame is TaZZ_1990 from Germany!
Often speed has been there, but only couple wins.
His win total does not make his justice, he has been around long time, and fought many of the best drivers.

TaZZ_1990-2.jpg

TaZZ_1990 entered for part-time in Season 5, and in his first race in Ferrari, Gr3-class in Fuji, he struggled badly, several mistakes and accidents. But on his next race in Red Bull Ring, he shocked everyone by winning the race, with clear margin. He would also drive in Le Mans, but finished off the podium.

Next season he teamed up with farin79 in Audi, in Gr4-class. Car was not able to fight other cars in the class, and when his teammate won race, TaZZ_1990 struggled badly. He often was last in his class, but got couple podiums when enteries were low. He finished 5th in standings in his first full season.

They moved up to Gr3 next season, with Porsche. They could fight others now much better, but TaZZ_1990 was quickly made second driver behind his teammate, showing pace in quali, and opening laps, but fell away quickly. Bright spot of his season was amazing win in Le Mans, his second. He would finish 3rd in standings, behind his teammate.

They stayed in Porsche for Season 8, and TaZZ_1990 was much more competitive. Start of the season, he was often faster than his teammate, and even fought for win in Sardegna, But again, he struggled for consistancy. Several podiums though he had earned during the season, meant he had tiny outside chance for title, if hell broke lose for Kobr4K_21, but Porsche's struggled in Le Mans, and TaZZ_1990 finished 5th in standings.

TaZZ_1990 made bold move for Season 9, moving to Nissan in Gr2 class, teaming up with G4 Rotary. Again he got several podiums, even lead championship one point. But fell of quickly, he was again near of victory in Sardegna, but mistakes dropped again him to 3rd. He finished season yet again in 5th place in standings.

Kobr4K_21.jpg

12th GT-MES Hall of Famer is Italian Kobr4K_21!
He did not do more than one full season, but he dominated his class to become Gr3-champion.

Kobr4K_21 commented:
''Oh wow! I'm proud to being part of the hall of fame for just doing one full season, i enjoyed that season, full of great people''

Kobr4K_21-2.jpg

Kobr4K_21 entered the GT-MES in Season 8, going to Top Class with Gr3 Mercedes. He dominated the Round 1, but had dramatic DNF one lap from finish. But he no more bad luck in next races, he would go on to win next 3 races. In Saint Croux he could not fight for the win, but took his 4th win of the season in Round 6. Going in to Le Mans Finale, he hold good lead, needing to make sure jonirune91 would not win. After great tactical battle with Audi's, Kobr4K_21 failed to win, but did enough to finish ahead of his main rival, and take Gr3-title.

Next season Kobr4K_21 stayed in Gr3 when it became Lower Class, and difficult Round 1 was his only race that season.

Round-6.jpg

Rain in Belgium!

For Round 6, we go to legendary Spa, and it is going to rain! This will make the race quite interesting, and you can expect some random results. Consistency is key in tricky weather, and best drivers will shine in the end. Tyre wear is not factor in wet track, so it is all down to driving.
Some drivers are looking good for title bid in Le Mans, some are looking for podium, or even for win to get more points, to help their cause.

Gr2

Lexus
returned with domination in Austria. 1-2 in qualifying, followed up with 1-2 in race. Winner GTS_BOCA_SAFFA went for bold 4-stop tactic, dumping medium off, after just one lap. His speed got him quickly ahead of his teammate GTS_BOCA_GIAMP, who pitted 3 times. Maximum points helped Lexus in Manufacturer Standings, but they are quite a bit down, after missing Round 4. Both drivers looking for title, but they need podiums to improve their position.

Honda kept their podium steak ongoing, with jonimestari91 finishing 3rd with 2-stop tactic. Earlier in the race sota59 slowed down a bit, to allow his teammate to secure the podium for the team, but 3-stopping sota59 was not far behind in the end, finishing 4th. sota59 commented on their chances in rain: ''Even though esting been difficult, i am confident we will fix some things before the race, and wont be so far off the pace. But i have to admit, podium might be out of reach.''

Nissan struggled in Red Bull Ring, de-luck having to DNS yet again, and G4 Rotary struggling, and finishing 5th. Manufacturers title hopes are surely dead, but drivers title hopes are not. And he has been rumoured to have shown outstanding speed in testing, so he will be one to watch in the rain.

Gr3

Audi has been class above others in Gr3 this season, with rookie Ryslan Zharinov taking his second win of the season, extending the lead in championship, and giving Audi their third win of the season. Both are looking great for title right now, but points and podiums need to keep coming. Nils in other car was fighting for podium, but fell of to 7th in final laps, and is in need of big points. Both drivers unsure how race in rain will go, either really good, or really bad.

McLaren was confirmed to pull out of GT-MES after just one season, but they have been collecting podiums regularly. CSX_WiseGuy finished second in Austria, and CSX_Eagle just missed out on podium in final laps. Rain could turn in their favor, and if they are in winning position, that would elevate both to the title race, but maybe CSX_WiseGuy is the one with better shot.

Porsche really been relying on one driver this season, but RLH_Wesley has not failed to disappoint. 4th podium in a row for him, started on pole, fell away maybe with 3-stop tactic, but clutch move to take another 12 points in final laps. He is in quite good position right now, but cant allow championship leader to increase the lead one bit more, so big result here would be good.

Mercedes has been also confirmed to leave GT-MES after disappointing results, no wins since Season 8, and no podiums this season. Emilius73 been driving consistently, but not really been on pace to challenge for podiums. GBM_amuda74 returns this weekend, he could be wildcard.

BMW another difficult race, osully14 with another DNS due technical problems daree1337 finishing 6th, but to be fair, that was his best finish of the season, maybe more coming? osully14 need big points to get back on title race, could be another one to watch,

G4-Rotary.jpg

Final driver selected to GT-MES Hall of Fame is G4 Rotary from UK!

Last seasons Gr2-champion won the title in his first season.

G4 Rotary reacted: ''The Season 9 championship was a difficult season because VQS_VitmnG had faster pace, but racing is not just about who is the fastest over a lap.''

G4-Rotary-2.jpg

G4 Rotary entered GT-MES Gr2-class with Nissan for Season 9, and impressed with solid second place in his debut. He had to miss next 2 round, but returned in Spa with point to prove. Epic battle with VQS_VitmnG, and lead several laps, but error with fuel and tyres dropped him to 3rd in final laps. Next race in Sardegna was awfull struggling from start to finish, resulting in 4th place in the end. But G4 Rotary came back stronger than ever, getting 71 points of of possible 76 in final 3 races. Comeback drive to finish second in Fuji, after early crash, dominant performance in Laguna Seca to win his first race. He went to Le Mans Finale with outside shot for the title, but when championship leader VQS_VitmnG struggled, title was there to be taken. Error in first lap dropped him from the lead, and cost lot of time, but he somehow fought himself to the lead in couple laps. Early pitstop meant he had to save fuel in final stint, and it was epic battle with sota59 for the win that would decide the title. Eventually G4 Rotary finished the race as a winner, and as a new Gr2-champion.

Round-7.jpg

Sunny Barcelona!

After wet and rainy Belgium, we go to much brighter Spain. Race in Spa was full of drama. Technical issues, spins and crashes.
You can expect less accidents now in dry track, but stakes are high. Some have already cashed their ticked to Le Mans Finale, but some need big result to improve their position in championship battle.

Gr2

As others failed to start the race, Honda picked up the points. After multiple lead changes, it was jonimestari91 winning his second race of the season, and taking championship lead, sota59 coming home second. They are in great position for Le Mans, but know they cant rest in here. ''We need to make sure we have as big lead in drivers championship ahead of the finale, and also keep the lead in Manufacturers Championship. Last time GT-MES visited Barcelona in Season 5, we took 1-2 victory for Honda, so good memories from here'' - sota59

Nissan's G4 Rotary did not start the race after all, missing out on big points. But he is not stranger of picking up big points late in the season, winning his first race last season in Round 7, before taking title in Le Mans. He is in better position currently, but needs podium. Win here would put his fate to his own hands in Le Mans. de-luck has problems yet again, Nissan and his teammate would really need him in last 2 races.

Lexus took impressive 1-2 in quali in Spa, but GTS_BOCA_SAFFA failed to start the race, and GTS_BOCA_GIAMP retiring from the lead, they also missed out of some huge points. Still in the title fight though, but may need some luck.

Gr3

Porsche
is looking strong. RLH_Wesley99 dominated the class in difficult weather last weekend, winning the race and taking championship lead. Now with 2 wins and several podiums, he looks favorite for the title, but he cant rest, as challengers are near, and could slice his points lead here in Spain. Last seasons Manufacturers Champions now look that they could defend their title, and made big signing, bringing farin79 to help out. farin79 was key drivers in both of Porsche's Manufacturer-honors, and won here in Spain in Season 5.

Audi could not win last time out, but is sitting nicely in both championships. Nils fought his way to second in slippy conditions, taking big points for the team, but also helping his own Gr3-title defense.Nils said: '' I still can‘t believe my charge through the field during last weeks race. While the win at the Nürburgring is definitely my highlight of the season, this comes straight after that!'' Ryslan Zharinov was taken out in Belgium, and then crashed on his own. Bad race dropped him from championship lead, but he is still looking good. Both drivers really could do with a podium in Spain, before Le Mans decider. Audi also needs big result to catch Honda, and to keep Porsche away.

After struggling in Austria, BMW returned on podium, when osully14 finished great third. osully14 is in title fight, but could really do with another podium, so he does not drop even further from the lead. daree1337 been struggling this season, getting his 3rd DNF in Spa, but his pace has improved. He could be big help to his teammate in last 2 races.

Mercedes misses out on podium yet again, but GBM_amuda74 scored his best ever finish, with 4th. He was on set even for podium, before taking Ryslan out, but still managed to get solid finish. bondzai struggled in his debut.

McLaren drivers took 2-3 at the start, but mistakes quickly came, dropping them away from good points. CSX_WiseGuy is teams only hope for title this season, and he needs atleast podium to have any chance in Le Mans. CSX_Eagle could be big help for him today.
