Definately Midnight Club 3. Juiced for the PC was total crap (demo), and Need for Speed should stick with the Hot Pursuit Series. Sreet Racing Syndicate looks interesting, but it's not MC3.

So were NFSU's what? NFSU did not have real parts beyond wheels, and if you look at screens from NFSU2 the bodykits look worse than bitter beer face. SRS will have (from what I understand from reading about it) real PARTS meaning that you can install a Greddy Evo exhuast, or Brembo brakes, or a Blitz blow off valve. To me, that makes the game appealing.

Well, I'm not entirely sure on Juiced. The demo only allowed me to let the game randomize modifications. NFS:U2 should real amnufacturers.

I think the opinions differ by personal taste I guess....... Simulator vs. Arcade or something like that....... I don't think a racing game sucks because it is not realistic... MC2 definately did not have the greatest grapics or realistic physics but it had done well what it was meant to do... Pure Arcade racing....... But I guess the REAL part of the racing gets people in too.... BurnOut3 definately has no real cars and that may turn people down no matter how good the game gets... (The reason why it wasn't in my list in this thread was because it had no real cars)

BTW I don't think any of these games are simulators.... They are close to Arcade racers in my opinion..... It just depends how far they are willing to steer away from realism.........

I´m getting all of ´em :)

My favorites are Burnout 3, NFS:U2 and MC 3. SRS sounds to be good, and I didn´t read much about Juiced... I guess it will be the weakest of these.

Burnout 3´s demo is great. The playability is pretty much the same as Burnout 2, but the graphics are much better. Really arcadey, collorfull, and at 60fps. The demo had a bit slowdown though, I hope they fix it for the final version. Although the cars will be fantasy ones again, it seems the music is going to be good this time around. Cause the music from Burnout 2 really sucked :yuck: And it will have online option, up to 6 players. 👍

I liked NFSU a lot, and NFSU2 seems better, so I´ll enjoy even more :)

Same for MC3.

Will Juiced and SRS feature online play too?

I know not a lot of you trust ratings or stuff like that but..........

PSM did not like SRS at all (5/10)...
I know I can't look at one rating and decide that this is true but.....

They gave the first NFSU a 8/10 so.... I think that explains a lot.......

Probably off my list~~ If anybody buys it tell me otherwise~ :)

If they gave NFS:U an 8/10 I think that gives them about 0 credibility. Im looking at these games for play on the XBOX so when their mag came out with a comparo between all the street racing games I got that, and for my interests, and after playing the Juiced demo, I think SRS is gonna be my favorite, but I'll probably buy most of them anyway, with the exception of the completely crap looking NFS:U2.

3 sites I've gone through and they all give SRS a Okay or less(Gamespy, Gamespot, IGN)........ And the actual readers give it a little better than they do (But thats the usual case for all games anyways).......

BTW, this isn't about SRS........ As some may know Acclaim is bankrupt...... Pretty bad....... But some how Juiced survived.........

"Acclaim, as we previously reported, is in process of bankruptcy. What wasn't clear earlier, however, was just what flavor of bankruptcy the company would file, as well as just what would happen to its still-unreleased titles.

A company can file two primary forms of bankruptcy: Chapter 11, which allows the company to continue trading and have a chance at financial recovery; and Chapter 7, which is essentially a plan to liquidate assets and close. Acclaim has chosen filed Chapter 7.

As reported today in GamesIndustry.biz, not only will Acclaim seek liquidation of its assets and business closure, but at least one highly-anticipated title -- Juiced -- will survive the fallout.

According to the GI.biz article, the street racing title planned for PS2, Xbox, and PC was financed and managed by development funding firm Fund 4 Games, leaving Juiced unaffected by the bankruptcy. Fund 4 Games owns the rights to the title, rather than Acclaim, and will seek a new publisher.

Juice is developed by Juice Games, and independent UK studio.

Obviously, it's not clear just when Juiced will finally hit stores, though we're glad to hear of the game's survival. Stay tuned for more as the situation develops."
(An article from IGN)

Gee....... I wonder how the critics would rate Juiced.... (Yeah I admit I'm a Rating guy...... I die for rates......) The game doesn't look bad looking at footages but..... (considering the footages were smaller than the GBASP screen...) Who freak'n knows?
Anyways...... Burnout 3 is released next week (Shipping on the 7th)!!!!!! Yay!!! :)

I find it funny, that SRS is 10x better than NFSU itself. NFSU wasn't fun. Its tuning and customizing could have been better with real kits. But the main part of the game... the driving... was like... Blah.

Yeah..... That was what they said...... It was fun to customize (I'm struggling to spell this word :dunce: ) fairly realistic handling.... But..... No sense of speed (Well its more of a simulator I guess?) was unsatisfying after races..... And they flatout despised the girl thing..... Free roaming was a chore......

I do think they were hard on it... But I think they gave credit to NFSU for the customization which was something of a new thing back then... Sense of speed was well shown........ Real cars, although they sucked on the handling part (It was arcady after all... 2 is probably arcady.....) They stepped in on street racing for the first time so... They went easy on NFSU.... There was no comparison at the time~ They acknowledged (sp?) that it needed a lot of improvements but there was no other game to compare it to...... Sheeesh if it came out right now who knows what rating they would have given it? (Ah... The rate thing again... I should stop!!)

BTW..... Nothing can beat BurnOut3 for sense of speed in auto racing!! :)

I find the sense of speed in NFSU is better, but with all the cuztomization SRS owns it.
SRS's customization don't do ****. But the handling of the cars and gameplay own NFS:U.

But you don't have to do any exterior mods unlike NFSU

So you can race a sleeper?

There's only one problem I'm starting to have with Street Racing Games. Alot are starting to put the Skyline as its main car. SRS has been advertising that one, and NFS:U basically tried to make you think the ultimate car was the Skyline.

But Juiced changes this. They've got the NSX. Street Racing Games need to include more of this and other Japanese cars instead of the ones here, and the ones which are over hyped. The NSX, Silvia, along with the RX7, Supra, and a few more need to be taken more seriously in these games. NFS:U: If you owned a Skyline, you could basically slap the **** out the Supra and RX7. That bulls**t in real life. There quite a few RX7s and Supras that beat Skylines.

All I'm saying is some of these new street racing games need to show off bit more of Japan. The NSX is an excellent car, and can easily beat quite alot of Skylines. The NSX is considered the Ferrari of Japan, not the Skyline, (insert game company here) d****t!. SO quit over hyping the damn Skyline has your BEST CAR IN THE GAME! Show off the NSX. Its is from Japan! The Skyline is good, just to much hype. 👎

Well..... I just waited for the high end tunes and did that drift mode (10 laps) in single player mode with a WRX with 5 stars a couple times and unlocked everything and went sleeper afterwards..... I mean after unlocking everything... you don't need all those bodykits anyways.....

That is odd that they didn't put in a NSX..... That car is even sold in the U.S. unlike the Skyline... (Although it was EA Canada...)

Hey the Skyline is sold in the US ;) G35= Skyline 350GT. I never liked the NSX, its weak engine and less than steller body design is a turn off and its not worth the $80+ grand even in video games.

All I gotta say is put Burnout 3 on PC, give me Race Driver 2 on PC, and that's where I'm at. 👍

High end comp....... But it would be great to have BurnOut 3 on PC... The game still lacks a proper replay and replay saving..... More cars models would be cool too!! (My PC barely plays NFSU though..)

Burnout 3 is the winner for the street racing games hands down. My review here

Yeah I know..... But BurnOut 3 didn't have real cars..... That was the limit I put on because it might not be fair for the other games... They can't crash real cars like that!! But your right~ There is no street racing (or any racing) game that went as far as Burn Out 3!! Just looking at video clips make me  ...

Nismo GT
SRS without a doubt!!!!! 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 :dopey:

SRS is pretty pathetic... I bought the game, played through it, and was stunned at how limiting the customization is (Performance, and especially aesthetically)... The physics are slightly better than NFSU but still have the notchy ultra arcade handling that plagues most all arcade racers... The damage modelling looked decent (although a bit unrealistic) but it didn't effect the cars handling or performance as much as it should have... The whole import model girlfirend thing was pretencious and no more than a silly gimick to pull in pimple faced adolescents, and what was the point of including so many identical versions of one car, but with slight differences in the aesthetics?... There just wasn't anything exciting, different, or even particularly good about SRS... Just another sub par street racing clone...

;)

Midnight Club 3 and it has a 69 Camaro and other muscle cars. Juiced wont even compare. To make the poll fair mabey install Burnout 3.

The physics in Burnout 3 suck ass, and everything else about it. SRS has the most realistic mods unlike NFS.

Funny you complain about BurnOuts Physics... It's a pure arcade racer... It meant to defy realistic physics anyways~ I guess I can't argue about NFSU though... The Mods lacked too much... I hope they do something on NFSU2~ The first one wasn't that engaging in the tuning part...

BurnOut is out because it has no real cars... Therefore has more freedom to do whatever it wants... It isn't linked with the Tuning part of street racing either... I considered it, but I thought it wasn't on the same terms with these games.....

After waiting so long, I finally got a copy of SRS, but i am so disappointed.
Just no fun at all. The only fun thing about this game is that you can drive around the town and go into a tuning shop. And that's it. The game play is too 'arcade style'. So sorry about Namco, but this is really one of the worst driving game i played for this year. Hope they do better on Enthusia

By the way LaBounti. NSX is a strong car, with it's 3.2 VTEC is one of the best NA engine in the world. Skyline GTR basically needs a turbo to go fast.
