Well, I'm going to St Louis for the rest of the week. I might jump online while I'm there, but if I don't, see you guys when I get back!

Have a great time, LoudMusic, we'll see you when you get back! :)

Hey, cool! I live in STL from '86 to '89. I worked right downtown, near the Arch. have fun out there! If you get a chance, see a show at Mississippi Nights. They've usually got great bands.

What is this? I'm in STL and Loud doesn't tell me that he's coming?

Space, the arch doesn't sway that much...but the elevator ride up is fun when the car shifts over and tilts...

my dad use to shake the elevators...scary crap, they would creak and bang and I thought we would take an express ride back down...

And I was always freaked out by the stairs going up cause my dad said "you know if something happens, we have to walk down those stairs, and thats over 600FT up!" and on top of that I'm afraid of hights so I would always sit so that I wouldn't look out the window of the elevator...and then the top...I never climbed up on the ledge...I stayed right in the middle of the floor and just glanced out...the last time I went I did look out more, but still I for some reason always think of the worst thing that could happen...

ohh I see. You are south of me(I think, I've only lived here all my life...). You know highway 270, how it loops from the north and then goes south and back towards illinois? from where you are, get on 270 north, and get off on Olive(they are doing a major bridge work, you can't miss it). Take Olive east, and you will come to Criag road. Turn left onto Craig. You will pass a Dierbergs, and then a huge retirement place, just keep going. Craig road will then turn left slightly and then straiten out. Turn right onto the first street you see on the striat part(not on the curve) take this road, pass the first street, and turn left at the second, but just stay turning left and you will be in my driveway(if there are no Mazdas there, you are in the wrong place).

If you have free time, just stop by sometime...tell me first though.

And I can't go to Six Flags...it's so damn expensive now, and well, I can't drive by myself yet...

And I don't want to be standing there for hours as you convieniently didn't see me on your way in...

J/K, have fun, and go on the Go-carts there, they are awsome. Ohh and the Log Fluem(it's called something "river" something now) and go on Thunder River too(they might have renamed that too...) Last time I was there was over a year ago, and I knew where I was going in the park(ive been there at least 25 times...)but they changed a lot of the names of the rides...

Across the street from Wash U, Loud? I spent 3 years there. I was on Pershing Avenue, a block east of Skinker, backed up to Forest Park parkway. A block behind Talayna's.

Is Delmar still cool? Blueberry Hill still there?

So what you doing - visiting friends, or looking at the school? I got my Masters there in '89, and haven't been back. I'd like to visit again some day.

Oh, yeah I lived there for more than a year before we ever went up in the Arch. It's cool - one of my favorite 'buildings'.

Heh, I have no clue what you guys are talking about. :D

Bye Loud!

Maz- There's a Six Flags Magic Mountain about 20 miles south of me. Bloody expensive... though I went to their waterpark, Hurricane Harbor, yesterday. :)

Yea Youth, there's a Hurricane Hourbor at our's also...never been in it though...

Yeah, I don't know what street we're off of, but Skinker runs in front. I think we're at the north east corner of campus ... the end by the park.

So I'm back from St Louis. It was pretty cool.

I flew up there Tuesday after work (well, I left work at 2pm but clocked a full day's work ... SUCKERS! :loudmusic ). I was one of the special "chosen" individuals to be searched in detail while everyone else boarded the flight. And I got there early too! The plane was late arriving in my town, and late to leave. Then we got stuck in the air for a little while longer trying to land in St Louis. So I ended up being about an hour and a half late. Doh! I knew something was wrong when I noticed the Sun changing sides of the plane in mid flight. Apparently there was a little bad weather in St Louis.

My friend picked me up and we went straight to his appartment/house where he lives with two other computer geeks. Yeah, there was a lot of computer crap piled around ... and a lot of empty pizza boxes and two liter soda bottles (: Apparently they didn't feel the need to clean up for me. I get no respect! I proceeded to woop him pretty good in a few spot races of GT3.

A pair of our friends from my town were in Chicago the previous week and were meeting me in St Louis on Wednesday. They left Chicago at 2AM(!) so we'd have all of Wednesday to play. They arrived early in the morning - quickly changed to cool weather clothing, and we walked to the zoo.

The St Louis Zoo is pretty cool. It's free admission, and there's quite a bit to do while you're there. If you're ever in St L, swing by the Zoo - it's worth a visit.

That night we went to Fritz's (is that right, Maz?) for home brewed root beer from the tap, and some really good eats. Another stop to make sure you visit while there. After dinner we headed over to the "Ultimate Electronics" store. Imagine Best Buy ... but the quality of products are kicked up a notch ... or two. They have about six private rooms set up like living rooms with all their nice home audio/video equipment in different arangements. They even had a receiver that's priced at $3,800. I think mine was $700 and it included speakers. We were getting followed by salesmen so we decided to jet before we made asses of ourselves.

Thursday we jetted over to Six Flags. WOOHOO! It was a blast. "The Boss" is one of the best wooded rollercoasters I've ever ridden. And "The Ninja" was a right nice tube steel coaster as well. I was walking around the whole time thinking about Rollercoaster Tycoon. I'm going to have to reinstall that game and build another park. Anybody have cheat codes? (: Oh, "Mr Freeze" was amazing. It lasted all of 50 seconds - but was worth the 15 minute wait in line. It's a switch-back "launched start" tube steel coaster that starts in a metal building all decorated like Mr Freeze's lair. Before the train leaves the building it's already doing 35mph. And it peaks at 75+mph during the ride. My friend and I stepped off the ride with quite the headache though. If you're going, be sure to get a $10 off Coke can. That's like paying 65 cents for a ten dollar bill.

That night we had a 28" (yes, two feet four inches) pizza from Pointers. It's the world's largest delivered pizza. Guess what ... they can't make them any larger because they won't fit through doors. Check out the attached picture of the box lid - I brought it home because I knew no one would believe how big it is.

Friday we headed home, but stopped to get the best darn frozen custard I've ever eaten. Allow me to point out that I think frozen custard is pretty nasty, which makes this all that more impressive. I thought it was INCREDIBLE. I practically inhailed a quart of the stuff. Someone from St Louis will have to remind me of the name of the place though ... Tom Somebody I think.

And here I am home again. Somehow we missed the Cardinals ... and the Arch. Oh well, I'll catch that next time I'm there - probably in the Spring. So all you St Louis dwealers be ready (:

Welcome home! :) It sounds like you had a great time - I want to go to Ultimate Electronics! That pizza box is hard to believe, though...how much did you guys actually eat?

Loud, it's Fitz's Rootbeer...great stuff, me and my bro had it as the main drink at our Bar-Mitzvas, and we had custom labels made, mine was me in a go-cart at one of the best go-cart places around, which has since gone out...

Hope to see you next spring when you come by...

There ended up being six people nibbling on the 28" pizza ... we didn't finish it.

Fitz's! That's the one. It's a mighty fine brew (:
