I went to the new B-Spec mode where your drivers can race against your friend's drivers.
I read the manual and got everything setup.
I then went to pick competitors and found that only 1 of my 26 friends on GT5 has actually set a B-Spec driver to sharing mode!
I guess there wasn't really a reason before, but there is now.
I have all 6 of my driver's shared out, so any of my friend's are free to race against my Bobs.
If we want to make this new mode profitable, we all need to start sharing out drivers.
You can setup a race with up to 16 of your friends drivers!

FYI...

When a driver is in online sharing mode, you can't use him in normal B-Spec racing, so you will need to change the Bob you want to use in the old way back when you want to run those, or leave one driver for offline online.

After a race, you go to your driver's list. There are 3 circles at the bottom next to the word "Prize". If any of these are yellow, then you driver has won something. You then need to "Open" that driver and on the detail window clicking the "Receive Prizes" button (same icon as the "Sell" button in the garage).

And to my friend opelgt1969, my boy whooped up on your O.Petit! Check out your Log under the Community section. Bring it on! :lol:

I just made a Bspec driver on my second account
and from a second account you can race all 6 of your main account drivers in same race

Im even thinking about leveling up Bspec for 6 drivers on the second account and making a third account as the remote race starter
 
I just got the coolest "Bob" ever. His name: M. Schuhmacher........ :) Only one letter off of the real GOAT. Thrilled :P
 
Feel free to add me guys. I have one level 40 shared now, another a fraction away from 40, and the other 4 bobs somewhere around 35.

I was actually thinking of this exact scenario last night!
Since I don't need B-Spec XP or any credits, it would be a waste for me, but if someone needed to level up their B-Spec quickly, that should be an easy way to do it.

Hey guys, I have 3 driver on Share, 2 of these drivers are LVL 0, if someone uses them in Remote race, will they level up as well?

This may be a dumb question, but do you have to leave your game and PS3 on in order for your friends to use your b-spec drivers?
 
the prizes you earn refer to what place your b-spec driver finishes against your "friends" b-spec driver. A friend used my 6 drivers in a race and all of them received credits for the places they finished. my best guy finished 8th of 16 and he was awarded 13,000 roughly. Not sure about using a friends b-spec while their offline, i believe once your driver is shared, anyone can use them regardless if your on.

and also it seems as though when a friend is using my drivers in a race, im unable to set-up a remote race, until friend finishes his remote race.

You get credits based on finsihing position.
And I just confirmed that when a friend uses your guys, they make credits as well.
NoxNoctisUmbra made me almost 100K credits from using my guys!!

The one thing I don't like about this is when you go to add drivers. It brings up your friends list, but doesn't indicate which ones have drivers shared. I end up clicking through every friend I have to try and find available drivers. You would think it would be easy to limit the list of friends to only those who have drivers shared, and at least one driver able to race.

At it happens I set one of my bspec drivers to 'online' a couple of weeks ago. I just checked and he has won over 50,000 cr and has been used by 3 friends. Is this the new auto grind for credits ?
 
I just started my first Remote Race in Server Stand-By mode from the web!
It is pretty cool.
The cars are actually racing on my PS3, so you do need to have your PS3 on and set to Server Stand-By mode to accept races from the web.
The web page is keeping a running tally of the position changes, where each driver is, lap times, etc. So even when you are not home, you can start races and see the detailed results in real time.

Stating to back fire on me, everyone is using my drivers so I cant race my own. :lol: Oh well, all for the better.

That actually sounds ideal. You don't have to tie up your machine running a B-Spec race, you can go have fun. And meantime, all of your drivers are making bank thanks to your friends!
