Good changes šŸ‘

Whatā€˜s the SR by Category supposed to be? Itā€˜s under the Tracks tab but then shows classes multiple times?

You must have caught me while I was making a change to the layout, it should now show the course name with classes under each course. I feel bad that I sometimes forget about the people that may be color blind, but for now if a track has a positive average SR rating, the row will be green, if it has a negative average SR rating it will be red.

Owyeah country leaderboard!

Do you know when the FIA points will appear?

I'm hoping to get to the FIA leader boards by the end of the week.

@jasguer I'm not sure what's happened here but I did two races at Bathurst yesterday (I won the second one, once I realized the start line was not where I expected :banghead:) Could it be that the second race has not updated yet?

Also, great work with the new additions šŸ‘, and sorry but I don't have Paypal either :guilty:.

It most likely hasnt updated yet, I hate waiting for the updates. The time seems so random. Tomorrow I'm going to sit down and see if I can figure out the method behind their madness.

Unless I'm totally off, you should still be able to even if you don't have a PayPal account.

And, @Robben - the "My Records" page now displays what percentage of people have a better time than you, lower percentage is better.

@jasguer the same issue with the FIA rankings is happening. It is showing different races for different regions for me again :(

The problem here is that the Americas region is still in round 3 while the Asia and EU regions are already in round 4 as Americas make a break on Tuesday while the other regions have the break on Wednesday.
No idea what PD's reason for this is, maybe they are preparing for the next US elections as those are always on Tuesdays...

The weird thing is that that wasnt happening a couple of weeks ago. The races would stay there even when the other regions had different races, at least for me in the american region.

I think it is not always the same, a few weeks ago the "day off" might have been the same, PD seems to switch this around from week to week and from region to region.

Should look better now, one of these days we'll get it fixed for good.

It is fixed. Is it something that you need to keep changing manually now? Sorry about that.

No reason to be sorry, it should be automatic but I'm having difficulty keeping the start and end times in sync for all the races across all the different time zones and the three regions. Daily races are easy because they all reset at the same time. Even most of the week is easy for the FIA races but the day off kinda messes me up a little bit. I think it's all fixed now though, but I'll keep an eye on it tomorrow.

Another thing that has a tendency to mess things up is maintenance, like tonight. I shut the data mining services down until maintenance is over just in case. So, if there are any issues tomorrow, it's mostly likely related to tonight's maintenance.

Cheers bud, awesome. So cool to see some times in the top 1 and a bit % :D. Also it nicely highlights the tracks I shouldn't bother with

Any plans to add a sort to the page?

@jasguer - My race history has updated from last night, but has only come up with 2 out of the 4 races I ran - is it just a timing issue ?

Also the daily race tables haven't yet populated themselves, yet the nations and manufacturers have

Thanks, and yes there are plans to eventually add sorting to some of the grids.

Everything should look better now. :D

Sorry for the short responses, I'm late for a meeting.

Some info regarding the FIA races as this might be confusing for users in the EU and Asia region (but not for users in the Americas region):

The world rankings for Nations and Manufacturers are still showing the ranking for round 3 (as this is still the active round for the Americas region and better times can still be posted there), while the regional rankings for EU and Asia already show round 4 (as round 3 is completed there). So for Americans all looks fine with regional and world rankings for round 3, but for EU and Asia please be aware that in the regional ranking you already see round 4, while in the world ranking you still see round 3. This looks strange but actually is correct.

Awesome you added track averages for SR and player count. Great info!!!

I raced this one 26 times on Sunday, I can believe it's the worst for SR, lowest average SR in your data so far, -6.096 per player per race.
Autodromo Nazionale Monza N800 Sun. 41,424 16 -91 -6.096 -252,504
I started at 99 left with 52 SR after 26 races, -1.65 SR average per race going by my race history, I beat the odds at least :)

Interesting that the track most people fear for SR carnage is the best
Tokyo Expressway - Central Outer Loop N100 Fri. 3,395 105 -40 21.824 74,092
21 average, 105 SR points for one race? Was that one bugged

If you somehow find a lot of extra time is it possible to make a graph with the SR +/- by time data. 4 hour blocks is pretty coarse.
Awesome data!

I always wonder why people hate the track so much, it is a great track!
It is fast, many fast and medium speed corners, no "Mickey Mouse" corners, the track really rewards smooth driving as handling of the car weight distribution and weight shifting is very crucial there, and most importantly the track essentially has NO dive bombing opportunities!
It is one of my favorite tracks and it always surprises me when people say they don't like it.

Thanks @Sven Jurgens it looks like depending on how you drive, you can always earn more than 99 SR and lose more than 99 SR per race, but your actual score will never drop below 1 and never go any higher than 99.

I can change the block of time to 1 or 2 hours depending on which looks better. My first thought was 1 hour seems too granular but now that I think about it, that might be better.
@jasguer Minor feature request: On http://www.jasonguernsey.net/gts/Driver-Rating, on the Driver Rating Changes graph, could you add the exact DR +/- value as a mouseover value?

Thanks!

So, to get mouse over values to appear, the code needs to be done in JavaScript and I'm not too proud to admit that's a language I've never had time to learn. However, I was able to display the actual values in the charts for driver rating. I need to work on the layout a little bit but they are there now.

I was just wondering how you can earn 105 points for one race, that seems kind of insane. However it might be a boost when you're down to SR.E. The max I got once was +55 SR, while still draft bumping the exact same way as how I lost 88 points from SR.S. If I had not been draft bumping that race I might have gone back to SR.S in one race lol.

Great info! I'm curious to see the results of Mona and Bluemoon today. Monza GR.4 seems a lot better than usual, and on Bluemoon it's very hard to get any penalties atm, seems they have been dialed back for race C today.

One hour blocks should be good enough to see trends during the day, but I see what you mean with the table getting a bit long :) Perhaps combine the car categories, it's more to see what times are clean or dirty. Even the tracks don't really matter, day of the week and time with average SR value could show some interesting trends. I see you already have the by category page, very cool! There are a lot of red tracks.

275k SR lost on Monza last Sunday!

Thanks for all the work!

First of all...great job mate...
Congratulations!!!!

Now...a simple question...
In the "My Records" section...the times we get there includes also the qualifying and races times on the daily races or just when we race in time trials offline?
I ask this because, for example:

I remeber doing lots of races in one day when the race C was in Brands Hatch with a GR1 car and apparently there is no record registered here.

Other than that the site is amazing with lots of stuff to "nerds" get entertained for hours.

Thanks a lot...

I think this page shows your record ā€œfastest lapā€ on a specific circuit with different grade of car. Therefore only one record for each class of car.

Thank you very much, I feel like I say that a lot but I mean it evey time. I'm pretty blown away by how popular the site has become, 732 registered users and counting. When I first started this site I thought there would be 100-200 users at most. So, seriously, thank you all.

For the "My Records" page, I started collecting qualifying lap times for each race, Daily and FIA some time around February 14th. Unfortunately the data is only available from PD for about 24 hours if even that long and then it's gone forever. The first few days the service collecting the data had a few bugs so some races were unfortunately missed. However, it's now running smoothly and should be accurate from about March 1st. Only qualifying laps for the daily races and FIA races are available.

@meck_rb7 and probably others, I just made the all new FIA page available, under the FIA menu are Nations Cup an Manufacturers Series soon to be populated with data from each season. Keep in mind, is a work in progress, so I'm open to an suggestions.

Sorry for the double post, but I just finished this page, and it's awesome. The information by track is behind but that's because I can't tie the race results back to an actual track, or I don't have race results for you, but if you're registered it should be accurate from about February 15th or the date you registered, whichever is later, going forward
