Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, or is it something in my settings that I missed. When I turn my computer on, I log into this site, and a few others, all of the sites I log into I stay logged in all day, except this site. For an unknown reason to me, this site logs me out every half hour or so, I'm guessing due to inactivity. Is there any way to stop this from happening, as I would like to stay logged in all day, and look at the recent posts from time to time throughout the day? Thanks!

When you log in, you need to tick "remember me" and it'll keep you logged in until you click the log out link.

How come, sometimes when I do this, it doesn't work anyways? It's only once in a while though.

If you clear your browser's cookies, the "Remember Me" option will be nullified. Ticking that box basically instructs your browser to keep a copy of your session identifier in a cookie, so the site can immediately identify who you are when you return at a later date.

The normal session expiration time is 30 minutes; in other words, if you don't load a page on the site for more than 30 minutes (and you have not ticked the "Remember Me" box), you will be logged out. This can occur if you're typing out a particularly long post.

Thanks Jordan. 👍

Yes but the thing is I have not done so

What OS and browser are you using? Various browser settings or "security" software could be deleting those cookies on your machine without your knowledge.

I've noticed it does it on the crappy PS3 browser, not very often and rarely occurs on my PC. I'm just wondering because its a pain type it all in without a keyboard every few minutes.
