Stealth Cars Query ?

One year on now and are they really worth it ? I have been offered a voucher. Its a descent price considering the price of the collectors edition retail. But...

Are they really worth it ? Really asking the members here who have them. Its not like there are no cars in the game. What advantage do the stealth cars have , part from looking bad ass?
 
I have stealth cars and IMO their just pointless. More for the type of person that likes to have a complete collection.

But on the other hand they look amazing, get them if the price is right.
 
Stealth normaly have more power, than their non stealth version.

754 BHP 1050 KG stealth GT-R
Vs
711 BHP 1150 KG normal GT-R

927 BHP 830 KG stealth 787B
Vs
895 BHP 830 KG noraml 787B

They also only cost 500 credits for Engine or chassis rebuilds each.
EU cars 1 stealth car pre order bonus + The sig edition only.
 
They look great but that's about it. I rarely use mine any more. My stealth 787B has a load of miles on it but only because it was my fastest car for a while.

I only have the McLaren stealth but this thing is a beast :)
It has lots of downforce, which you cant have in the regular McLaren.
Makes it a very good race car and i use it often in Dream Car events against LMP etc.

I love it :D
 
It's really more of a collector's item than it is to have good racing cars to race with (imo). The stealth cars are not bad at all, but with 1000 other cars it's not like they're irreplaceable.
 
This thread actually reminded me about my stealth cars...... which will now be getting a run out. Great car's
 
I think the Stealth cars were worth the extra cash!

All of my Stealth cars has been well used and I still love them... :dopey:

So if you can get your hands on some of them, my tip is... Get them!!! :D

OP: Buy them dude, you won't regret it.

Handling, speed and looks beat the normals hands down IMO 👍
 
I'd kill for the stealth 787B :ouch: You should get them just to inflame my jealousy gland!
 
If your the type of person to question if you really need them or not you don't. They are just 6 cars out of how many? Best practical use for these is when your just starting a new game.

If your a collector thats a different story this is a no-brainer. Stealth Cars :drool:
 
I really like my McLaren F1 and use it a lot. At first I didn't want to use it because I didn't want to "cheat" in the early stages of the game, then I thought I wanted to save it as a 0/0/0 car. But once I drove it, it became one of my most used cars. I don't think I would have missed it if I had not known about it, but now that I have driven it I would hate to loose it.
 
I bought my stealths and chromelines with compatible disc for a really good deal of 50 dollars. None of the awesome collectors/signature edition stuff involved though. But because I had to use them with a compatible disc, I have to restart from scratch, and while I can't say I'm looking forward trying to completely redo my account, but that's part of the fun.

For a collector, yes, they're terrific as part of my collection. And if you get a good price, go for it.
 
OH OH ! Its the voucher i am talking about ( gives u the 12 digit D/L code ). Can u elaborate on the compatible disc dylpro ! **** starting GT5 over again ! i will stick with the bog standard cars and shove matte black on them and pretend they go faster !

Ok, I bought it as a good deal but it was the Asian version, therefore not compatible with my current disc.

This isn't impossible to happen with you either. Make sure the code is compatible with your disc. If you have North American disc (NTSC I think?) then you need a American voucher for it. This is the most important part for if you have the code then but it's not compatible with your disc then yes you would have to start over. But in order to start over you would have to buy another disc. IT IS A RISK. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL INFORMATION ON THE VOUCHER BEFORE PURCHASING IT.

There is no NTSC voucher with all the stealth cars as far as I know? I have 4 and have never seen anybody with the Audi on an NTSC account.

I got a HK setup like dylpro also. :sly:

Oh yes I forgot there is no full voucher for NTSC, but if you're a PAL user there is.

Also HOODFIELD, I have all chromelines and stealth on my NTSC account, as long as I use my HK disc :sly:

It would probably work with my PAL disc. :)
You might as well give em away..to me..
And get several cars as a trade.

I thought it was regional relevant the statement. This voucher i see is for europe and Australia : -

For use with PS3

UK/EU (European) or AU/NZ (Australia/New Zealand) PSN a/c required.

Your game disc must also be "PAL (UK/EU/AU/NZ) Format"

(Will not work with a USA PSN account)

I am still undecided as what to do. I dont mind paying some hard earned sheckles as i figure i will get good replay and milage out the stealth rides. But i cant help feel its all over rated and just a gimic considering the vast array of super rides already installed in the game.

I am going to be doing the 24 hour LM and Nurb very soon A-Spec and i am thinking Stealth Cars !

I only payed £10 ( $15 ) for my GT5 disc ( new ) in November last year. So its good value either way in my eyes for any more DLC.

To stealth or Not to stealth that is the question .... :confused:

I'v still got my voucher for Stealth and Chrome car packs, and i will deffinetly use them. Plus Codes are Valid till December 2012, so you have got more time then you need to make up your mind:)👍
 
I have both Stealth and Chrome line cars.

Best if you are starting the game from scrath.
Good value engine rebuilds.
Faster than the normal counterpart.

Oh and they look awesome.

Little tip you can get the Jaguar XJ13 Chromeline Race Car for free on facebook just complete a little photo game and its yours (Dont know if this still works)

Note im still looking for some of the pre order stealth cars

Thats not legit though because your PS Store account is still American so you can't buy any of the new DLC and have it work on your disc. :sly: Right? I never tried.

Your technically right though Asia is NTSC I believe, but what I'm saying is having more than one stealth car is not the norm in America, unlike Europe where many people own signiture editions. :dopey:

If you have the Jag then your PAL, and you can't get the Gamestop Nascar.

Nah I tried a couple of months ago, got the codes but they didn't work :(

So it still works for some people... There are lots of posts in there from people who got the Jag code and it still didn't work. I'll try again tonight but I can't see it working.
