Is it just personal preffrence or is one better?

The steering wheel is defiantly better. Look at the price.

Yeah i spose ay.. I remeber years ago usong a wheel on gt2 and was hard, most likely has progressed in the years though lol

No problem :). Next time, try to edit your post instead of double posting. Enjoy the site!

No, like when you put up two messages in a row, you can instead hit the Edit button and put it into one post.

Well ultimately it comes down to person preference but I can tell you that owning a wheel makes the game a whole lot more enjoyable.

You might also want to check out the wheel section of the forum for in depth reviews and what not on different wheels.

DS3 gamepads have several untoggable driving assists that make the driving experience easier than with a wheels. Not only that, but lock-to-lock steering speed appears to be in some situations much faster than with a wheel. On the other side, you have a less precise control, especially on the throttle which seems to be handicapped on purpose (only 50% of the total range is usable).

Wheels with a total steering angle greater than 900 degrees (DFGT, DFP, etc) get a full, realistic driving experience.
Older wheels (for example 360 and 200 degrees ones) have some sort of steering assistance to cope up with their limited steering angle. This is tweaked (but never completely eliminated) with the arcade/professional/simulation setting in the wheel options.
