Bumping the SRT-10 up to 550-600 Hp shouldn't be TOO difficult.

Leaving a nice gap to slide the 6.4 into, and technically anyone should be able to tell the V-8's are better engines, that big V-10 has too low a specific output and too much weight, yeah it's cool, sounds neat, and makes absurd torque, but it isn't something that I, or many other people would ever want to deal with.

well i realise that the V8s' are better cube for cube, but when i said better i meant better on the whole. with 500 hp (530 in reality) the lumbering V10 still has a better output to weight ratio than the 425 hp hemi. (i belive) So technicaly it is still the better engine. but give the hemi 500 or even 450 hp and that would no longer be the case.

Likely, if not for the problem where the 6.4 liter hemi becomes a better engine than the 8.3 liter V10.

[NEW IDEA]However, with the 600 hp Corvett blue devil, Dodge is gonna need to work on the viper to stay competitive.[NEW IDEA]

i think i might have been onto something with my "600 hp Viper" lol thanks for making me think there Onikaze. 👍
The Viper doesn't need to worry about the Blue Devil, because the Blue Devil is dead.

Fangorn: i refer generally to the AMERICAN design studios...not anywhere else. that's the cycle I've noticed.

i didn't see the shots of the concept untill I got an issue of MT...and it was right there on the cover with the "300 lookalike" Imperial concept. i was drooling at one, and going EWW at the other

i STILL think we're gonna see a fuel crisis pretty soon that's gonna cripple everything everywhere. and people wonder why the american government has been hoarding oil...

the reason I disagree about the timing is that 69 is when the government began its safety guru-isim...and sanatised the car market for 25 years

You aren't talking about the post from 2005 on that autonews site are you?

It's been all but officially confirmed that a blue devil (or some sort of top corvette above the Z06) is in the works.

All the old-school car manufacturers are finally leaning the right way about bringing back their renowned muscle legends.

Ford:
Poor job with the Mustang .

Dodge: Good job with the Charger. Still the new Challenger is exactly the same!

Chevrolet:
Amazing job on the new-gen Camaro, this will no-doubt cause more impact on the Automotive scene than it will be expected.

A la' Monaro revitalization.
