This is a thread series for the seasonal time trials that focuses on completing the challenges (i.e. beating the gold target times) with stock versions of the cars. This means that instead of maximizing your PP with upgrades and focusing on getting the fastest laps on the in-game leaderboard, you are attempting to complete the challenges with the bare minimum amount of 'car' and money-spent as is possible.

With the new more open ended format means that part of the challenge will be finding a stock car that has the lowest PP or lowest price depending on your view. It is also difficult to predict which types of tires a car will come with before purchasing.

Warning: Some of these challenges are getting to be extreme and should be approached with caution! :banghead:

In order to participate your car must be stock.

1) A stock car is essentially any car as it is when purchased from the dealership or won as a prize: it will have had no modifications, added parts, or adjustments done that affect how the car performs.
2) No oil changes are permitted: if you have had an oil change you must wait until the effects of the HP boost have been removed by driving over 300 km.
3) You must use the original tire type that came with the car, unless dirt or snow tires are required.
4) No changes to any “Car Settings” are permitted: they must ALL be left at their default values. [Note: cars that come with Fully Customizable Suspension that were purchased or won prior to patch 1.11 must have the suspension settings restored to default in order to be updated with the new stock suspension settings.]
5) No SRF or ASM is permitted: other “Driver Assists” are permitted.

Basically, the ONLY changes you may make to a car include: painting the car and changing a car’s racing number. Any other changes means your car is not stock.

Stock Seasonal Time Trials #60:

Non-Racing Car Super Lap: target 2:22.000 - Mount Panorama - 500PP - SH - repeat - 2:25.000

Rally Car Super Lap: target 2:18.000 - Chamonix West - 550PP - Snow - repeat - 2:20.000

The gold times are 3 and 2 seconds faster this time. Last time's gold is this time's silver.

Fastest Car from last time:
500PP at Mount Panorama:
496PP - 2:23.098 - Ferrari 365 GTB4 '71 - Stirlingmoose

Lowest PP Car from last time:
550PP Rally at Chamonix West:
479PP - 2:17.641 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car '99 - nowcontrol

My results so far with a wheel and an automatic transmission:

500PP at Mount Panorama:
496PP
- 2:21.177 - Ferrari 365 GTB4 '71 - SH - FR - 347hp - 1200kg

This was the only car to come close last time. Same car I used last time but I found enough time to gold here. This will probably be the easiest car to gold with. I eagerly await to see what other cars people manage to gold with here...I feel there will be fewer this time.

550PP Rally at Chamonix West:
479PP - 2:21.710 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car '99 - S - 4WD - 300hp - 1230kg
530PP - 2:17.625 - Ford RS200 Rally Car '85 - S - 4WD - 420hp - 980kg

I gave the Mitsubishi a go and could not even come close to nowcontrol's time from last time so I tried a car with a better P/W.

500PP at Mount Panorama:
499PP
- 2:20.867 - RUF RGT '00 - SH - RR - 380hp - 1330kg

I tried the BTR first but it was proving rather difficult so switched to the more well-behaved younger brother.

550PP Rally at Chamonix West:
544PP
- 2:17.916 - Lancia Delta S4 Rally Car '85 - S - 4WD - 448hp - 890 kg

490PP
- 2:20.095 - Honda HSC '03 - SH - MR - 328cv - 1150kg

This is my entry Stock Gold at Bathurst.
Actually 2:21.7xx after 3 laps and this good score passing the 8th finish line.

550PP Rally at Chamonix West:
504PP
- 2:17.760 - Peugeot 205 Turbo Rally Car ‘85 - S - 4WD - 344hp - 940kg
499PP - 2:15.407 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Super Rally Car '03 - S - 4WD - 321hp - 1230kg

The Evo Super is astonishingly good. I tried with the Evo VI '99 and like @Hastatus couldn't get anywhere near. I know nowcontrol is a better driver than me but 4s seems like a lot. I wonder if there was some corner cutting going on last time. The conditions seem to be the same - in the Mitsubishi CZ-3 Tarmac (488PP) I could match my time from before, about 2:19.5.

Edit -
500PP at Mount Panorama:
486PP
- 2:21.953 - Shelby Series One Super Charged '03 - SH - FR - 319hp - 1202kg

It feels very lazy in stock form, never got to use sixth gear, but it does the job with very little drama.

and here's another one
493PP - 2:21.651 - Lotus Esprit Sport 350 '00 - SH - MR - 353hp - 1300kg

543PP
- 2:10.983 - Audi Sport Quattro S1 Rally Car `86 - S - 4WD - 476cv - 1090kg

My target was to improve my current score with tuned Lancer '03 car and finally won with stock S1 just for 10ms.
I would confirm no "famous" track cut for it

Time to go to bed now.
Ciao

550PP Rally at Chamonix West:
Had fun with 2WD but only manage Bronze:(

Need to be more serious.
471PP - 2:17.352 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV Rally Car '97 - S - 4WD - 284hp - 1230kg

Thanks to Dirt Rally didn't felt nervous anymore when rallying:D

Edit:
500PP at Mount Panorama:
481PP
- 2:21.818 - Ferrari 512 BB '76 - SH - MR - 354hp - 1400kg

Could be quicker, i was 0.35 down to my ghost at the downhill checkpoint.
But it was a gold i am happy with it:)

No corner cutting. I have still have the original replay files as well as this one now. I might record and upload it to my YT at the weekend. 👍 :D

EDIT: Video upload done.....

Time to party.

That corner cut action though. Even if you don't but just slightly get up in the curb area is gonna make a difference. Might as well do the cuts and see how we do? I dunno…

500PP at Mount Panorama:
493PP
- 2:21.810 - RUF BTR '86 - SH - RR - 369hp - 1180kg

...and done. What's next? I'm pretty sure there's nothing lower than the 512BB capable of gold.

I would suggest a classic horse: Mazda RX500 '70.
I already tried some laps and I felt the right potential for Gold.

On comfort softs? It's a fantastic car but it's only got four gears so runs out of steam on the straights and it comes with CS fitted.

After thousand km for actual TT I was curious to verify my increased experience on Bathurst circuit and I tried further 15x laps with HSC:

500PP at Mount Panorama:
490PP
- 2:18.483 - Honda HSC '03 - SH - MR - 329cv - 1150kg

Great car and more relaxing engine sound than GSX...

I think you've really got Bathurst now. 👍
