Lets post strange things we find on ebay. How about I start.

Windows 98 At the time, 23 bids, $123.50 USD. I mean, what the crap.

How about a pencil

What kind of freak would pay 53 dollars for that?

I've seen someone trying to sell a ghost in a bottle!

There was a post here a few weeks ago about someone selling a decommissioned aircraft carrier for $8M or something like that. It was obviously fake, but still funny.

no i beleive it was real. there was a decommissioned cruise ship a while before that.

Here's an article I grabbed from my mom's Reader's Digest...

5 Most Ridiculous Things Sold on eBay
  1. A five-inch Triscuit, apparently not cut into individual crackers at the factory, $20.
  2. The town of Bridgeville, Calif., including 82 acres and a ZIP code, $1.78 million.
  3. Size 9 work boot, right foot only. "Somebody stole the left," $1.25
  4. A ballpoint pen with the Enron logo. Enron who? $42
  5. An imaginary girlfriend to send you photos and letters. After 30 days, "just think up a crazy story and dump me," wrote the seller, $81.
    [/list=1]

Wow, that's some good stuff. I should try a few of those myself.

I did hear a story about someone auctioning a McDonald's "Happy Meal" figurine of Gandalf.

For £13.

I don't understand what's so strange about that.

EDIT: refering to Giles comment.

What, paying £13 for some cheap plastic toy that came free in a £2 meal is normal? And sensible?

That's called "collecting". It's very popular these days.

I have seen someone offering to "kick your ass" for $50 and a plane ticket on eBay. He guaranteed to make it look very brutal with minimal permanent damage. It was for people who wanted sympathy or to implicate someone else with an assault charge.

Seconding what Neon Duke said. People collect toys all the time. The Happy Meal toys are generally in short supply, making them 'rare collectors items' ... but yes, they're still cheap plastic toys.

It's the price that's pretty strange...

R u Ready?

He's obviously grammatically impaired, I RM NOT READY.

You're bidding on a Civic that is sure to draw some attention.

Don't you mean laughter?

There are gauges that are self color changing that add the the unique look of this car.

Like those toy cars that change colour when they get hot?

18 inch chrome racing rims

Chrome and racing should never be mentioned in the same sentence. I'm pretty sure that's a contradiction.

You'll love this car!!!

Yeah without all the crap on it, or maybe in a car crusher.

As for that Frog thing. :yuck: :scared:

That mannequin is one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen. It's absolutely freakishly terrifying. If I saw it in the front of a store, I wouldn't go in, I'd shoot it throught the window with a 12 gauge, and follow up with a couple molotov cocktails.

I couldn't quite put it into words, my feelings on the subject, but I think you did a pretty good job. I'd include some napalm just for kicks.

this mannequin will easily attract attention
They weren't kidding were they. That reminds me of "It" and the clown.
