Suggestion to get more money.

Put a muzzle on the overbearing mods that act like its the greatest sin in the world to start a new topic rather than post in a year old topic that barely resembles the point. (you know who you are)

I was going to buy a lifetime a while ago but that was nixed by an overbearing mod... and being as the last 2 or 3 threads that I actually wanted to post in were closed by a mod for some pretty dumb reasons, whats the point?


I know, I know... you'll just say deal with it. Which I will... but you'll also remain poorer.

Just a thought... get rid of the grumpy old mods that always seem to have a holier-than-thou attitude, and seem to enjoy stifling conversation on a forum, and you might find your subscriber base going up... then you could drop some of the annoying adverts, and that may also make the subscriber base go up.


Again, just a thought.
 
Strange, alot of people seem to buy the subscription because of the hard and fair attitude of the Mods.

It would, however, be an interesting metric to see who all DIDN'T subscribe because of the overbearing mods... I know there's at least 1, and probably MUCH more.
 
My first subscription was a gift from one of those 'overbearing' mods'. If it wasn't for him I probably would never have subscribed. The first day of non premo after my year I got my first add and re-subscribed immediatley.

Are you a member of any other large forums?

I think this place has some of the best mods out of any forum. I can't think of any forum where a moderator actually joins in on a discussion on a regular basis.

As for the thing about making new threads, do you realize that each new thread takes up space and every post takes up more? The more consolidation you can get leads to less load on the server.


Edit: Wenders isn't a bro, she is in fact the mother of another member on this site.

It would be interesting to see who decided not to subscribe because of the mods. It'd be nice to see how those people have acted here and if their opinions are justified. Which personally, I doubt they will be.

Yep, a member of quite a few. I'm actually a "premium member" of every forum I visit with the exception of zilvia and floridashootersnetwork.

This is by far the worst forum for overbearing mods... ARE YOU ON ANY OTHER FORUMS?

Well, I didn't. Feel free to look it up but basically I asked a question that WAS NOT ANSWERED anywhere in the TOS or whatever and someone decided to be a smartass with me. So I retorted... then the whole situation was over with and I even said I was buying a premium afterwards and thanked everyone... Along came a power-tripping mod after-the-fact and totally ruined that one from Jordan.



I really don't understand why all of you are involved? Being as none of you benefit from subscribers... I think this thread is really only aimed at Jordan. But if you guys love him so much to argue for the mods that cost him money... so be it.



Edit: Why don't you guys think about that for a minute... the person that bought the domain, did all the work, and owns this site... has mods running around robbing him of the chance for more money. And that's ok?

Also, before you think I'm just crying... take note that none of my threads have been closed, and I'm not even talking about things that have happened to me personally. (other than the original issue, but that has been solved already by me voting with my dollars.)


Edit2: And truth be told, I really don't care about your opinions... Know that Jordan is down at least one PAYING subscriber due to the actions of a certain mod. All of you with your FREE premium subscriptions talking like you matter totally miss the point. You aren't even a real premium member if you didn't pay for it. You didn't support anything. And a big LOL at the disc space issue... do you know how insanely cheap storage is?

You missed the point. The Mod actions that supposedly cost Jordan your subscription are the very same actions that has reaped Jordan countless Premium subscriptions because of how tight things are controlled.

Show me the thread in question and prove me wrong, but it looks like you got your hand slapped and feel like raising a stink over it. :rolleyes:
 
Basically all I have heard is that you think things should be ran the way you want them and that by subscribing we are somehow to blame. Obviously you know how to run a forum better than Jordan and the mods so do it and get off this one if it's so bad.


Also note the "overbearing" mod has yet to close this thread.

You haven't seen any sort of mods yet if you think this forum is the worst. I know forums that would ban you on the spot for "being stupid" & absolutely insult you just for fun.

This forum is amazingly relaxed, mod-wise, for as many members as it has. If it wasn't, many people wouldn't be pushing 5-8 years worth of active membership.

From a mod's perspective, honestly, you're just another person upset that you're getting closed threads & just basically insinuating that the mods have it out for you. I've seen it before on other forums, and it always ends the same way.

NONE OF MY THREADS HAVE EVER BEEN CLOSED.
IT HAS BEEN MONTHS SINCE I HAD ANY ISSUES WITH MODS.

ALL OF THIS COMES FROM ME SEEING WHAT MODS ARE DOING TO OTHERS.

Because this is a forum and this is what you do on a forum. If you really wanted it directed to Jordan why not shoot him a PM? I'd be willing to bet that more people choose to subscribe because of how this forum is ran as opposed to not subscribing because of it.

You assume everyone of those people have the abilities to buy premium and you also assume that it's because of the mods...yeah, my logic sure is flawed.
 
LOL!!!! You keep telling people to do research yet you fail to do just that.

You say there are 50 premium subscriptions. Look here scroll down to the premium users list and count. I didn't count them all but there is certainly more than 50.
