How is everyone faring against the bot in the family cups? Are you consistently beating them? Should we raise the difficulty to 2?

I have been lately taking first, but it is usually a tight race on the last lap. I occassionally take second though.

Car-less is that with you using the Skyline or was that with the Silvia?

It was my fourth race in the Skyline. I'd be really worried if I was pitted against an Elise in the Silvia at difficulty level +1!

At 182 HP (my Mirage) gets much stiffer competition (on the Family Cup 1 difficulty), then my trial runs in a 140 HP Silvia. In the Mirage I am consistently finishing 3nd, occasionally 2nd, and rarely 1st. In the Silvia I could not top my Mirage (3rd place) Infineon time, yet finished 1st in the race by about 1.5 seconds.

So 1 is still a good difficulty for me.

I voted for +2, my situation is sort of the opposite of GrumpeOne's, my car is pretty "slow" (currently 124HP), so it gets weaker opponents, I've only had one race (beginner course) where I wasn't first before the end of the first lap.

That said it doesn't really bother me, because the AI should be getting faster as our cars get faster no matter what speed setting their on.

Hopefully Dogbreath and Jet Badger will chime in on this before sunday if a change needs to be made. So far it is split half and half not counting myself.

I think the difficulty is just fine in 2 lap races for first place, especially with rolling start. This week in Suzuka I was first before the first corner, but in some other tracks it takes 1.5 lap to do that. In my opinion the current difficulty is somewhere in the middle, opponents aren't terribly slow and at the same time you can have some race with them.

What do you know everyone participated. I guess we shall have to bump it up to 2 next week to see what happens it was pretty even leaving me to break the tie so to speak.
