Right then it wouldn't be Gran Turismo it would be Nascar 4 which consists of Racing against some of the top competitors in Online racing. Having to master set ups gear rations for every track racing for a hundredth of a second perfecting the draft perfect fuel/pit strategy watching out for 42 other morons around you while do almost the same speed as an Indy Car with a car twice the size and Half the Tires.

I'll tell you what, why don't you drive over to NC, and me and you will go to charlotte and run some laps around the track, its expensive but if your road racing is 10x better then us Nascar loving Rednecks then why is it im so confident i'd have you by over 2-3 seconds every lap?

Thats without setting up my own car, and running it the same as yours.

how could they down grade a viper to GT-300 class!!!

The sad thing is that 50 years ago NASCAR was cool cars like JGTC, but now they all drive the same car with slightly different fiberglas around it. Of course, even with cool cars NASCAR would still be a lame-ass circuit with only 2 road races.

I think Americans need to get together and phone in bomb threats at every NASCAR event until the league falls apart. Aren't there enough rodeos for these bastards to watch? I'm lucky if there's an F1 race on ESPN2 at 5:00am.

You are tired of waking up at the crack of dawn to watch Formula 1 too? Geez, I am ever sick of it. Not a bad idea with NASCAR though . . . and I don't know why they call it "stock car" racing anymore, because it is no longer that. I sure do wish Speed would air JGTC, America just doesn't get too much good road racing. ALMS, F1, CART, and a few other smaller series are about it. But we get every freakin' form of so called "stock car" racing.

I thought I made it clear that I would never be interested in that.

Your post has some ridiculous logic. You say that because I think NASCAR sucks that I therefore think that I would be an excellent NASCAR driver. I'm not sure what sort of mental malfunction caused you to arrive at that conclusion, but I assure you that it is unfounded.

I'll grant you that it would be a real ball-tingler driving right up some guy's ass at 200mph, but from a spectator's standpoint NASCAR just plain sucks. Watching 40 guys in the same car driving around in a circle drafting each other is pretty boring until someone pulls a Dale, and waiting for a firey pile-up is a pretty morbid reason to turn on the TV. Still, you have to admit, wrecks are the only interesting thing about NASCAR. Sometimes they run half the race under caution.

Let's just look at last Sunday's races.

NASCAR Tropicana 400 at Chicagoland Speedway
267 laps of sheer excitement as 44 guys went around on a 1.5-mile oval, all driving the same car but masquerading as Chevys, Pontiacs, Fords and Dodges. Any fighting for positon? No! All other things being the same, the guys in 1st and 2nd were ahead because they didn't pit for the last 69 laps. Nothing happened for the last 57 laps. The leader never changed. On the last lap, the guy in 2nd ran out of gas.

Malaysian JGTC at Fuji Speedway
5 different races took place in the rain on a 2.8-mile track with 8 turns. There were Vipers, Lamborghinis, Supras, NSX's, Skylines, McLarens, Z's, RX-7's, Toyota MR-S's, BMW's, Porsches, Silvias, Subarus and a Ferrari Modena. A Viper won the GT-300. The Raybrig NSX lost control in the rain and took out the Nomad Diablo.

Ooops, sorry about the three posts that were the same . . . I don't know what happened, I only clicked on post reply once. Maybe because at about that time, I couldn't do anything on GTPlanet . . . and finally I can now do something (some like 7 hours later).

You have your opinion, I have mine.

Personally if I want to watch exciting races, I watch superbikes.

Superbikes are great races to watch. I'm sure JGTC probably isn't too bad either . . . I personally wouldn't know though, because America doesn't get to see any of the races.

Anyone else notice How Far this thread has digressed from it's original topic??? Perhaps a Moderator could move all the NASCAR vs JGTC arguments to a new thread??? 👍

Why, it's an ARTA sponsored ASL Garaiya, of course... :D

I'm told that the Garaiya "IS" the Tommy kaira ZZII... Don't ask :D

Yeah, I think they secured the rights to the body design, but it doesn't have as much Bhp, and the body styling is a little different...it's in GTC as well (the ASL Garaiya)

Oh Der Alta, Are you going to the Tractor Pull tonight? I know you gotta work on your El Camino but go hop in your 1977 GMC Jimmy and come on up to the tobacco barn. I hear they're giving out free monster truck tickets to.

:odd:

Yeh, you're right, especially ving, guess it's just my ANTI "Funny Car Racing" (make that NASCAR) bias showing through.
:D So I'm gonna ask Mr Devil how he got the large format foto. I went to a site recommended by chaser_fan but all I could download were "Thumbnails." Thanx in advance...UB57
:D

Mosler isn't Canadian . . . it is made in the good ol' US of A. Mosler uses the LS6 from the Z06, but it has a couple mods to it to give it alittle more power. In fact, Mosler in located in Florida. And Famine, it is the Garaiya. I've read alittle about the Garaiya in like Car and Driver and in Road and Track, but that was only the road car, neither had anything on the JGTC car.
