Does anyone here have a good beastly engine/suspension tune for the evo super rally car?

wow all the lookie loos and no answers huh? its amazing how you can come to a site looking for answers and the ppl on here act like its supposed to be the only game you are supposed to play. To me its just a race game but i like to win and i was just wondering how to tune a better car. I guess all the ppl that have looked so far are useless and knew they had nothing to contribute. Are there any REAL people out there who dont have their head up their butt about a video game and can tell me a good way to tune my car?

Comments like the bit I've underlined and bolded aren't going to get us to come rushing to your rescue any quicker. Most of us have moved on from GT4 onto GT5 and are currently working on things there. If you want, check out the garages here (MFT, RRV, GME, etc.) and look because most of us have an Evo tune of one form or another.

Why does it have to be the Super Rally Evo '03?? That car is an absolute 🤬 bucket of 🤬 compared to a worked Evo 8 MR with dirt tyres.

I have all of the evos for my two player battles, the super rally is the most powerful and can smash any other evo, full customization and tuning will prove that. as for my comment before i made it, about 20 people stopped by to see what was going on and left without saying anything, i left a comment in the gt4 section as dictated, otherwise why is there a section for it? not everyone has gt5 let alone a ps3, i have a 360 and i think forza has gt beat...but on the other hand i hold competitions at my house and although the two player battle options are severly limited, it still makes for a pretty good race, when you have someone bring their memory card of all the cars they have created. I am very familiar with supposed elitists who act like grumpy old folks when it comes to THEIR favorite subject, i bet alot of the people on this site arent even real gamers just driving enthusiasts. im a GAMER and after having tuned the super rally i know it can do better than i have it and was hoping for a little advice that would be happily given because i asked for it, guess i was wrong. by the way? the evo 8 mr is garbage compared to the rs with an original turbo

Hi, start here for the theory of tuning: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=104034#post2960296

Here's an example of an Evo tune (MFT are one of the best tuning garages): https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3023789&highlight=lancer#post3023789

Once you have tried these, feel free to ask any questions (but there are only a few people left so please have patience waiting for a response).

PS Your posts would be easier to read if you used punctuation, capitals and paragraphs. So you would probably get more responses.

PPS I can't speak for the others, but I don't have my head up my butt (I tried it, but it was too hard to see the screen to play GT4).

PPPS Agreed, I am definitely not a "real" gamer (whatever that is...). But this is a site about a driving game so I don't see why it should matter that a) I enjoy driving IRL and b) I don't play any other genre of games???

I too highly recommend the MFT Evo that nomis put the link to. Marvellous tune they performed on that one. 👍 It will show you a new level of performance.

As for me, I AM a gamer and a car nut. This whole series has been the perfect merging of the two worlds for me, period. I haven't got my head up my ass either but I'll just list for you some of the things I've done over the years with this game.

My GT4 resume:
  1. #4 in the world on the Las Vegas 400m strip (7.199) .
  2. #2 with a road car (7.313), and held the world record for the road car category for just off 2 years with a 7.325.
  3. Former FF drag record holder.
  4. 1st person in the world to achieve 400km/h in a FF car.
  5. Current FF Speed Record holder.
  6. One of the Big 5 of GT4 Tuning. Here's my garage - Grease Monkey Engineering!!

So, I'm pretty certified in what I know about tuning for both low and high speeds and handling too. I've tried both cars, and the MR will DECIMATE the Super Evo, and the RS for that matter. Around a circuit and on dirt it's unbeatable when tuned correctly.

Also, while this site is about Gran Turismo, we aren't so narrow minded to just talk about Gran Turismo all day, otherwise this site would just suck. Explore the site, look at the other sections from automotive, to computing, to Fitness, to TV, to current events, even a section for Forza enthusiasts such as yourself and a general off-topic(ish) section. And that's without getting into The Infield. :trouble::dopey::D:D:D

hmmm, I stand corrected, it seems like you guys definitely have credentials worth looking into. However my statement wasnt a generalization about people on this site, but about the types of people who in fact do act like grumpy old folks when it comes to discussing certain subjects, you know, not much patience for the asker, they either ignore you or make smart alec comments,in an attempt to feel superior. If thats not you then dont worry about it.

But getting to the real stuff, there has always been a hardcore evo battle between my homeboy and I, and when i tuned that rs for some reason even though it lacks alot of the power the mr has in general, i could always outrace him with it, and his mr is tuned almost to perfection...almost.
My RS is a beast at the least and love the higher compression and torque it brings to the table, and the mr cant pass it once i get a car length. Hence the reason i love the original turbo setup because its all power to the wheels right now. I have a tuned mr and it gets the job done. Unfortunately the original turbo doesnt bring out its potential, only the stage 3. So im not saying the original works for every car but the sti and rs give the mr a run for its money.

The super rally is a car I was hoping to bring up to snuff because despite all of its power in whp and torque the thing moves like a coupe deville and cant seem to stay ahead of anyone. So i figured i was missing something and there had to be a better tune for it to bring out its beast potential.
Im actually kind of sad now because I thought there was hope for it yet, especially after spending 1.2 million for the frakking thing. thanks for the set straight and the link to awesomness fellas.

^ why dont you try tuning it yourself. Ive got tunes in my garage on here that I need updated as I have found some slightly better settings on a couple of them.

so why is it anihilating all cars on the seasonal events

Yup I agree. Super Rally 03 was my gift car ticket and it munched the competition to shreds. No tune except Race Soft tyres and downforce to max. Snow and Gravel were a doddle and I'm quite an amatuer driver.
