No.... It wouldn't even install the tires. The crew just stood around the car for a couple minutes until i finally clicked on the invisible ok button, but in the course of clicking frantically at nothing I must have changed what kind of tires that would be installed as well because it was like sliding around on ice. So i just quit out.

I watched the replay, when you came out of the pits you had race hards on the front

Wow lots of discussion going on while I was enjoying the weekend.

The race incident between Soopa and Logan, like all race incidents, is very unfortunate. In racing bumps and accidents happen but being consistently accused of racing in an overly aggressive manner is telling. I will go ahead and switch finishing results between those two and thank Soopa and Logan for being gracious about this incident.

I feel like it is in the leagues and Soopas best interest to part ways. Thanks for racing with us Soopa but it is clear that you are a faster racer than most of us and might be suited for a more hard core league. This is in no way an indictment on your character Soopa and I wish you the best. If you see me racing online in my lounge feel free to join in.

My apologies go out to those that experienced glitches during the race. If I could do anything to prevent those incidents from happening I would. In the future we are going to refrain from using Laguna Seca until GT5 is updated once again. It's a shame because I love racing on that track.

I will try to post up the files for the replay later today.

What car is everyone using this week? One of the RM's, or the C5R? From my testing, they seem very evenly matched, though I have only tested the '09 RM and C5R.

He wasn't banging with me. I left the race on about lap 5 because someone said I was lagging. At least he gave you the position back, I got knocked off track by another of those "overly aggressive clowns" while I was leading and he just kept going, but that didn't really suprise me.

This is what happened on lap 3, Boshuter was p1, Soopa was p2, Godangit p3, NCR p4 & Roadrash p5....Boshuter goes up the hill to the cork screw with Soopa close behind, Boshuter goes in a little hot and gets squirrly, Soopa was right behind and bumps Bo sending him to the inside of the corkscrew at the bottom looses grip and goes head first into the wall, but makes a nice save and gets back on track. Soopa slowed and let Bo back in front of him. In the mean time Godangit and NCR slip by with NO contact to either Bo or Soopa. Next lap Bo broke late getting in turn 1 and got loose but not bumped by anyone, after the left for the straight to the cork screw is when Bo started lagging and his car was smoking and zig zagging across the track.

I by no means am saying anyone was wrong or right during those two laps, I'm just stating what happened from the replay. So Bo I'm not sure who you thought might have stuffed you and kept going, but nothing like that happened

I think it's quite clear from JT's picture that I was at fault, Bo must have been ahead at the turn in point for me to hit him where I did, he was on the racing line and had every right to take the line he did. I misjudged braking and didn't give him enough room to go through and hit him, JT did exactly the same to me on around lap 27ish, only I didn't manage to save the inside line spin and ended up in the wall and losing several places.

I broke late, you were in the middle so I went for the inside left hoping to go wide down the corkscrew to give you room. As you were in the natural line, middle to right, I just held my line but we rubbed anyway. As the contact that took you off course was side by side not a corner tap, door spear or pit angle I kept going.

I only posted pics at Bo's request as he wanted to see how his race went, not to show or prove anything one way or another.

I didn't complain at the time and I'm not bitching or whining about it now, although your side tap was enough to send me off the line I wanted and into the dreaded inside of the corkscrew

Definetly need to work on my tranny settings, couldn't keep up down the straight. What are you guys using?

With all the shadows, it's a bitch to make out a good brake marker for a couple turns. Hard to spot the silver and black cars in the rearview too.
Fun track though especially at these high speeds.

Yeah this track was a blast last season when we took old school muscle here. Lots of rubbing on turn 1 as you would expect. I'm going to go with the ZR1. Not for any real performance reasons, its just that I used the above paint chip on it and it looks fantabulous!

So I might not be the fastest car on the track but damned if I don't look sexy as hell.

Last year's race was a lot of fun. Things are going to happen much faster in these modern vettes. I'm thinking around 24 laps?

Race times at the beginning of the run are around 1.34 and increase by 3-4 seconds at the end. I think 24 laps will be good with 1 pit stop. Tire wear is bad here

It might not be a bad idea the way the lap times fall off. I've been going over that scenario myself

I don't think there is much doubt that the ZR1 is faster than the other two cars, but it's really a toss up, they are all capable of almost identical lap times with the right setup.

Looks like a two stop strategy for me too. Car is undriveable after 10 laps.

Yep, lap times rise like the Living Dead when the tires start to melt. Love this track when I can keep the line (duh) but after 7 laps I'm hunting and pecking through the shaded areas on the back stretch.

That turn heading into the Marunouchi Subway Line is the worst for me. (Had to look up the track map to get the name!) Wish we could make a detour around it.

No, it's that tight right hander that leads into the wide sweeping turn right before that place you mentioned. It's really shady there.

Lol....... I've always liked this track. It's probably my favorite city track in the game with the exception of Monaco.

Between trying to get a decent transmission setup (top speed/accel) and locating brake markers in the shade, I officially went bat-**** last night.

My car just couldn't keep up down the straight. Cb could just leave me behind there. Tried top speed from 224-261. Maybe too much downforce? I'm maxed. Think I'll add a Supercharger...see if that helps. Any suggestions are welcome

Or maybe just drive better!
