Should we all turn off our mics before race start?

hahaha I always try to find all the spin outs and wrecks. Makes for good reading. The other day my buddies were over playing D&D and I had a slideshow of some races we had done. My friend leans over to me and says "hey, are the guys in your league any good? I mean, all the pics are of them wrecking and stuff"

Oh man I was cracking up.

dangits car had a really nice green paint job on it. I wonder what the paint chip was. JT's car had the whole USA theme with the red rims and the shade of blue on his car was gorgeous. As for NCR's car, im just a sucker for color shift paints. It is a color shift paint chip right NCR?

Your car had the really mean looking flat black didin't it road rash? or matte black?

I don't think it was a color shift chip. Don't remember the name right off hand.

I have the Saleen hooked up for you. My best time with out draft is 59.605. I'll send you the set up, but it's a handful. Brake early and roll it through the turns

Nice run JT. Was hoping to hang with you and dangit but got too slow in a turn and you guys were gone. Wishful thinking anyway! Kudos to the 1 pitters too.

Thanks again DJ, your efforts with photos, recaps, standings etc... make this series very special. Hope you can get a "restful" break lol.

Great race last night everyone. NCR we had some good runs there for most of the race. Hats off to the guys who did one stop. Congrats JT on your first win. You and Dangit were the class of the field.

Great pics DJ! That sure was a huge plume of smoke, that took about 3 laps off my tires!
Thanks again for a great season and all your hard work is much appreciated. We have a good core of racers that make our league so much fun to participate in.
 
Really looking forward to next season. Can't wait to see what events we have to vote on. Seems very strange to not have a car and track to get ready for, but you deserve a break from all the work you put into the league.
 
Thanks guys I really appreciate it. It does feel weird to not have anything to do regarding the league. I'm actually thinking of maybe deleting the external website and using this website for everything. It would help cut back on all that copy and pasting I have to do back and forth between sites. I'm wondering if I should start a group page. I like having this thread because it attracts potential members but then again a few members we attracted early on were pretty disruptive...I'm also debating whether to keep the bonus points going. Adding the fast lap bonus points ensures I watch each race to the end but finding time to do so delays my race recaps.

What do you guys think?

What ever makes your job easier. You have a lot going on, so anything to save you some time is fine by me. The only thing we really are using the web site for is voting, looking at photos and going back to check the standings. If you could do a group page to do that stuff, by all means go ahead.
As far as the bonus points, i think we could do without. It's really cool to have them but they aren't a must.
 
Fast lap isn't too important. It's mostly time from draft, not really a racers speed obtained individually. Pole makes more sense as it is an individual achievement.

GT500/300 at Fuji, the no u-turn to esses version.
Muscle at a Cape or Deep Forest.
All NSX non RM at Tokyo.
Supra vs. Corvette vs. a rear Italian car at Monza.
Lexus RM at Suzuka.
DTM only at GP/F.
LMP/Group C at La Sarthe.
4 door sedans/4 door wagons at Laguna or that long up down turning course, an Eiger maybe, not sure.
NASCAR at Cote. Ha Ha.

That's sounds good but would rather do a muscle car race at Daytona Road Course or Indy Road Course 550pp race softs. Let that American muscle stretch it's legs.
Another NASCAR would be awesome but at Indy( guess cause it's Brickyard 500 weekend)

We did some testing with the NSX last night at 550pp. Was good racing till we got tired then it looked like demo derby without brakes
 
Those are some good suggestions. I really want to do a GT300 and will probably have that be the first race of season 3 like Roadrash suggested. GT500 is also a must but I'm not sure about using the two race format again. That was a handful to recap. The majority of the group leans towards muscle cars so I envision another Old School Muscle race. The Corvette/Camaro RM was a fun event so that might be in the cards again. Right there we have 4 or 5 events for next season.

I'm leaning towards replacing the Camaro RM event with another RM car. JT has suggested the Lexus RM at Suzuka. I would be onboard with that. I'm a huge fan of the ALMS/LM GT cars and would love to do another LM race. I would have to write a better list of available cars though. Some cars that have LM are just to good (namely the CLK LM, toyota GT1 LM and R390 GT1 LM).

Its great to see all the suggestions though. We might have to keep the external website just to keep track of voting.

I had an idea to use Google+ instead of the website or a GTPlanet group page. I already use Google Docs to handle all the documentation and Picasa to upload my pics (I upload them straight from my PS3's XMB). It would be nice to have all my racing buddies in a Super Tuner Car Circle. It would enable me to easily update you guys to anything I did as well.

I was with you till you started talking about goo goo dolls or something:) I'm clueless with the pc stuff.

Almost forgot about the Corvettes, they were a blast to race would love to do them again. We can bag the 2 race deal.

I, too, would like to congratulate JT on his first win ( I'm sure there will be more ) and RoadRash on another title. Can anyone unseat RR? Not this guy. And of course, a very BIG thanks to DJ for another great season. I am amazed by all the work you put into this every week. How ever you want to work things in the future is more than ok with me. Its a privilege to run with you guys.

Thanks man. And good job on your pole. Yeah, I'll have to run some undercover pit maneuvers on roadrash to get any of us a decent chance to win against him. And thanks to Dangit for running a clean honest race with me.
 
Ok guys now that were in the "off season" as I've stated before I'm going to host Friday night sprints. I'll open up the lobby at around 8:30 est. If you guys have any friends that would like to try us out by all means they are welcome. We'll be running 5/10 laps depending on the track.

We can do a couple things; 1. Run what you brung and we'll set a pp and track with the winner of the race picking the pp/hp and type of car and the last place guy picking the track for the next race. 2. We have some suggestions for next seasons races, we can try(test) these cars on the suggested tracks as well as others.

Also, a couple of us will be testing daily in the afternoons and evenings, trying out different cars/tracks so feel free to jump in, run some laps tune your cars, etc.
